Remove the cartridges and give them a good shake - this should fix the problem!

Shaking the cartridges will not affect whether or not it works. Check the electrical contacts on the chips on the cartridges. Also check the electrical contacts in the printer in the area which received the print cartridges. Please call for free advice if you need some help. London.

Hp designjet 130 carriage moves to the left and will not stop

If the printer has ink cartridges, check to make sure one of them did not come "undone" and is stickup up slightly. If so, just press it back in place.

My HP Designjet T1100 says "Ink Cartridge Faulty Replace Ink Cartridge". But the cartridge in brand new. Any suggestions?

The most common cause I've seen is that when people put the new cartridge, they forget to remove the seal which makes the ink stay in the cartridge. It is typically a strip that covers the hole where the ink comes out, or else a strip that is located far from the hole, but that needs to get removed or else the ink will not flow from the cartridge

HP Designjet 110 plus does not print yellow

if the cartridge is full or empty, try another cartridge. If the cartridge has ink in it then run the cleaning program in its software and a test page from the control panel>printers> HP icon

False ink empty

Are you sure its exclamation mark?..
This warning message related to print head. (warn out). When you are replacing ink tube assembly use dummy print heads to do the priming (new ink tubes are empty & they have to fill with ink)..
Action: Remove all cartridges and print heads, switch on the printer follow the screen message.(Insert cartridges first next dummy print heads).once its recognizes cartridges then it switch over to print heads, insert dummy print heads. Once printer recognized the dummy print heads, printer will perform priming, during priming dummy print heads will filled with respective inks.(follow the display message)Remove dummy print heads & insert normal print heads. Wait till printer recognizes print heads, load the paper & wait till performs the calibration, once calibration is successfully done issue closed.
If calibration not successfully done, check align print out for which print head is not printed properly, replace it..
Pl ensure that minimum 50% ink levels required in cartridges before performing the priming. Best of luck..

Hp Designjet 500 not recognising ink cartridges. the ink carts were nowhere near empty but coming but the printer says replace bought new ones and put them in and the machine is not recognising them...

I've had that problem with unfinished cartridges showing up as empty. I imagine that it could be a bad cartridge as well but I hear and feel the ink when I shake the cartridge. Therefore the ink is there. I also have a problem with some inks. I find the HP inks work perfectly whereas other manufacturers' inks work on and off. I need a solution as well. Right now I have full cartridges that are not picked up by the Designjet sensor. Any idea?
