I have a 2006 Kia Sedona. Is the air intake temp sensor in with the mas flow sensor as on unit?

I have never heard of an Air intake temp sensor. A dirty air filter will put the Mass airflow sensor out of range. change air filter first as its a lot cheaper. Get a printout of the OBDII scan for stored fault history.. let the printout be your guide to parts replacement to avoid buying parts you don't need.

My hp3600n makes a grinding sound at start and the printout always has gray verticle smudges on it

If you run the PQ troubleshooting pages you will likely find that your black cartridge is faulty. Sounds like the drum is dragging.

Most likely something is wrong with the imaging belt - it's dirty in that region. Try to clean it. Also check the fuser.

Same problem ... faint printouts from a LaserJet 4L. Replaced the toner cartridge, but I don't know how long it had been sitting around. The first 5 or 10 printouts looked fine, then they started getting...

Light print outs are due to the age of the cartridge. Take the cartridge out and shake it from side to side. This assures that the toner is not clumped up and makes it flow freely.

How do you clean and/or align printer heads on an HP 8000

laser jets dont use printer heads, they're only found in inkjets. If you have a problem with the quality of the printout with your laserjet, then you may remove the toner assembly (usually accessible from the front cover) and also see the fusion assembly. The drum may be dirty so you'll need to clean it up with a soft cloth, and de-magnetize it with the corona wire (there should be a slider next to the drum, probably marked with a non-black handle, so you can easily spot it). If there are some dark spots on the printout that come up at the same place on every printout you'll need to go with the cloth cleanup approach.

I have black smudges on my printouts. I using

This may be the cartridge itself, take the black ink cartridge out and check the head on it (the part that points in to the printer, usually down) and see if it is dirty or has ink smudges on it.

Poor fax printout quality

I would say you have a bad drum / toner cartridge.

Stuff you receive with vertical lines is probably the sender's dirty scanner.

Dirty printout and paper jams

Hi Hazel,

Sounds like it needs a maintenance kit. This will include a fuser, which should resolve the problem of the repeated horizontal lines and ghosted words. It will also cause more frequent paper jams when it needs maintenance.

A manual for installing a maintenance kit can be found online but sometimes will come with the kit. Google it anyway as it will give you an idea of the work involved.

Hope this helps!
