How do you get to the internal battery on a G56 HP Laptop?

When I turn on my laptop I get a message that says the primary internal battery 601 is running low on memory. I took the two things on the back off and didn't see any coin looking battery. Does anyone know where it is located?

The error message refers to the battery on the bottom of the notebook that powers it when it's not connected to A/C power. If you go into the F2 at startup or use HP Support Assistant, you can run a comprehensive battery test

SOURCE: I have a new HP Laptop G56 runing windows 7, when

Try a hard reset on the router first;

Turn router around;

Find the small pinhole usually located by the power cord;

Stick something like a paperclip in it and press down firmly for 1 minute;

wait until you see the lights blink and then go out;

Then; unplug the power cord from router for about half a minute;

Then, plug it back in.

Try it again and see if it stays on.

You can also try and upgrade your firmware if this doesn't help at all.

Click this link and follow the instructions for updating your firmware.

However; If your router is old or damaged, it may need to be replaced. They shouldn't continue to reboot over and over.

Please rate this solution if it was helpful to you. It doesn't cost anything to rate and it is greatly appreciated!

SOURCE: i cant find sata drivers

There are two ways.

If you bought a new SATA and get a blue screen when you install win. server 2003, you have to go to BIOS and change HD setting. (not on 1st page for sure. I have to what option you have.)

Or

You have to get it from HP, but I don't know whether they have or they will give you for free.

SOURCE: where is the internal primary battery on an HP G62 laptop

Should be the 1st removable item underneath towards the back. Look for two sliding release clips.

Here is the PDF manual.

What does the internal 601 Battery do, and how to replace it

Do you use your power off the mains at all (not plugged in) It will be the main battery for the laptop.

If you always leave your laptop plugged in there isn't much point in getting a new battery. Perhaps you can turn off the error message on startup?

Internal battery error 601 is displayed what is solution

1. This error is about the primary (main) battery, not the small CMOS one..
2. You may remove the primary battery from the laptop and use the laptop as a desktop using only a power cord. The battery doesn't have to be installed in the laptop and the error shouldn't be coming back then..
I would upgrade the BIOS first, it could be a bug and a newer BIOS might fix it..

601 error message

Hello.

I am sorry that you are experiencing this error message. It generally indicates that your measured storage capacity in your primary battery is less than 25%. What this means is that your primary battery (601 indicates that it's primary) can only keep a 25% charge. To keep this quite simple for you, please attempt the following.

* Unplug your power cord.

1.) Start up your Laptop and hit the ESC key immediately.
2.) Press F2 to get into Systems Diagnostics.
3.) Select Battery Test. * Now, plug in the power cord.
4.) Start Battery Test.

The battery test will give you a STATUS. If you see the following;

- Calibrate: This means that your battery is functioning correctly but it is in need of calibration. Select the automatic calibration option.

- Weak: From here, please get a new battery to ensure that your getting adequate power supply to your laptop for use.

- Replace: Replace the battery.

- No Battery: If there is, indeed, a battery inserted. Remove it, check for dust/dirt and wipe it clear. Insert the battery and see if it works now.

- Unknown: Try to download all available updates from HP Support Assistant.

Internal battery error 601 hp compaq 6735s laptop

Remove the main battery and run the ac adapter only, if everything works fine the battery will need to be replaced, if the computer continues to shutdown the problem is most likely a bad cooling fan or it needs to be taken apart and given a good cleaning.

Where can i buy a primary internal battery 601.number 1021 08

What's a primary internal battery? There are two batteries on laptops: 1) CMOS Battery - this battery is certainly internal because you will have to disassemble the laptop in 99% of the cases to get to it. This battery control the computer's memory and allows it to keep up with things like the date and time and other important stuff even if the power cord and other batter is out of the laptop. It is somewhere on the motherboard and looks silver and is about the size of a nickel. It costs less than $5.00 at Walmart, your grocery store or pharmacy. The most common size is CR2032

2) The Battery under the bottom of the laptop - This is a large battery and this is the battery that the laptop uses for power if you don't have the Power Cord plugged in. You can purchase this battery on ebay by just putting your Model number in the seardh. Ex. Compaq CQ60 Laptop Battery
