Replace the FUSER

Hi,
C6000 : Fuser heater break.
Fuser thermistor 1 detected less than
40°C/104°F for 10 s during warm-up and ready in.
Defective fuser heater M or S.
-Replace the fuser heater M or S.
Installation defectiveness on fuser thermistor 1.
-Check the mounting state of the fuser thermistor 1. If any problem is found, repair it.
Defective fuser thermostat.
-Replace the fuser thermostat.
Defective PWB.
-Replace the power source PWB or engine PWB and check for correct operation.
After parts replacement (fusing unit), you need to clear the fuser error code by going in the tech mode (10871087) and then U163.

your fuser tripped an error flag. Try power cycling the machine. If that does not work then press the button to check job status and enter 10871087. You might be able to enter that code from the copy screen. In any case lets continue, you enter that code and then screen changes. You then enter 906... That is a general reset. You could also try 163 that is a fuser reset. If neither one works then you need a new fuser unit

There are a number of problems that can cause a 6000 error.

The simplest is a paper jam or it could be associated with your LAN connection if you're runing Ad-Ware or a registry porblem.

Try disconnecting your LAN cable (if you're using one) and try staring your printer and see what happens. You may need to reset the memory error codes.

To reset the printer and release memory error codes.
1. Press and hold the Resume for 1 - 2 minutes.
2. Open the cover.
3. Remove the cartridge and then replace them.
4. Close The Cover
5. Turn Off
6. Then Turn On again

With the error that you're getting with your Canon mp258 , error number 6000 this means that your printer needs to be reset. You will need a software resetter for this specific printer. the c7100 error is a problem with the Auto Toner Sensor.

the first this to check is that you are using a genuine toner cartridge.

if you are please try to re-set the developer by keying in 1087 1087

then 130 press start and then start again once this is done please press stop twice, then 001 and start

if this does not fix it it may need either a new sensor or a new developer unit.
