Gemini gate motor

Some fixya user told me a website reliable-store it is very good.. I used it to repair my shredder it had some spark issue which wasn't easily fixed. you can go there and try

on the shaft that controls the arm or gear for the gate movement there will be 2 cams
open the gate and then loosen of one cam and adjust it off the micro switch until the gate is fully open
lightly tension the screw and then close the gate
repeat the adjusting on the second cam until the gate is fully closed
tension up the screw and then using the remote open the gate when it is fully open leave it or in it is not make small adjustment to get it open
press the remote to close the gate and again adjust to properly close the gate

There are switches on both ends of the course of the motor, if one fails it will only work on the side that´s ok. That´s why it opens but do not close.Check it out.

You could have dirty photo cells or some obstruction that the photocells are picking up that triggers the safety mechanism to reopen the gate so that no one gets hurt.

Extreme weather conditions (heat and cold) can damage the electronics in the photo cells too.

Are the batteries low on the transmitter?

Typically, photo cells are (or should be) wired to the control board so that it will stop the gate or barrier during the closing cycle should there be a problem- and should fully open again- just like on automatic garage door openers; it's the exact same principal.

obviously a problem with the auto mechanism , is there a sensor located , see your owners manual, in a particular area that has to bee kept clear and you may have inadvertantly placed something over the sensor , just guess as something must be telling the tailgate to shut , with the age of vehicle is it still covered under makers warrenty ? i'll look into the sensor thing

Insert the key and turn the lock cylinder while lifting up on the lift gate. You have to get the gate open. Once open, The strike plate (where the locking mechanism hits) is bolted to the jamb. Loosen the bolts and slightly move it toward the rear of the vehicle. NOT TOO MUCH!
Tighten the bolts, and try it. Hope this helps.

Your manual override is active. This disengages the gearbox from running the gate. You will need to release the manual override. What make and model gate motor is it?

Hello and welcome the problem is very simple to resolve first make sure you have battery power turn off vehicle open rear gate unlock doors go to rear gate and look at lock unlock again and push the Grey plastic lock trigger mechanism forward towards front glass close gate unlock again make sure lock is still in the position you just set it to and close glass it will the lock. Normally what happens in this situation was power was removed from your jeep and the rear gate was opened with no power running to electric lock so it stays in a set position you cannot lock the glass because there was no power in the electric lock I will lock once you reset it Hope this help. check the gate suports.. its very common for them to rust at the ends and cause them to bind that will not allow the gate to lift on its own. a click or pop may be heard when the gate is opened or closed.. also if the supports are working right the gate actually moves away from the body when the latch is released. if its stays against the body then try the supports for the gate
