Turned the freezer off 2 years ago. Turned back on today and it is freezing but the top left corner of the door is not sealing. It usually will seal very tight after closing it. The seal looks in good condition, no tears or cracks and is not dry rotted. Could there be anything else that would prevent it from sealing? If it is the seal should we change it ourselves or have a technition do it.

The door seal is at fault. Regardless of the small tear it is not sealing well.
Take a dollar bill and close it in the door. Then pull on the bill to feel resistance.
You will find it pulls easily in some place. That is where your air leak is that is causing the condensation.
Do this about every 6 inches all the way around the seal.

Check the door is aligned properly and meets all the way round If not, grasp the door firmly at the top and push it closed while placing the head of a mallett or similar item between the bottom of the door and the body of the fridge. This will straighten the door and the seal will fit again

Check the door sits straight and square on the front. You can "adjust" with the heel of your hand to make it sit flat against the frame. Even a poor seal shouldn't make frozen food thaw - check and clean the condenser and fan
