I was unable to access my state so I hit the change country box. Now I can not get back to US.

What you want to do is a factory reset to clear the user data.
1. Turn the unit off.
2. Place your finger in the lower-right corner of the screen.
3. Keep your finger there and turn on the unit.
You will be asked if you want to erase all user data. Select yes. Your Nuvi will restart and ask you the country information again.

Achieve global reset by pressing down on the bottom right corner of the touch screen (i used a pencil eraser) while restarting the GPS. You will default back to factory settings and can re-select your language of choice then.

This may be a result of a previous software
version on a device or possibly some one changing the settings. If a device
does power on with a foreign language that you can not understand it can be
corrected by going through the settings to change the text language.
To change the text language:
The device should be in selected text language.
Note 1 - In some cases, if there are Custom POIs
loaded to the device then it may be the first option at the top.
Note 2 - If American English is not the language
needed, please selected the desired language
