Where is the thermistor located

Usually the fuser has to be taken apart to access the thermistor, a job best left to service personnel.

check the info button in service mode. it will tell you all the possibilities for all ecode occurences.

Most likely a problem with your fixing drawer connector
It might reset and go away, or you may have to change connector

The thermofuse and the thermistor is located in the fusing unit.Open the front cover,remove 1 screw and pull out the fusing unit(the left exit cover must open).Remove 2 screws and the unit front cover.Remove 2 screws and the upper cover,remove the harness from the harness guide,unplug the connectors of the two thermistors.Remove one screw,shoulder screw and the harness guide,remove one screw and the thermoswitch cord,remove 2 screws and the temperature detector assy.Using a soft cloth dampened with alcohol or oil,wipe clean the 2 thermistors.Verify a continuity of the thermoswitch and clean using a soft cloth dampened with alcohol,wipe clean the thermoswitch.99% the problem is a thermofuse.

The thermistor is located in the fusing unit in contact with the upper fusing roller.

Fuser Unit problem. The fuser is the part that heats up and is located right where the paper exits the machine. Most common problem causing this code is the thermistors go bad. You most like need the 2 thermistors replaced in your fuser unit.

replacement of parts of copier is done by a technician, well if you could follow this you can replace the thermistor. open the right side and the front cove, the fuser is located on top of the OPC carriage unit, push the blue level going to the right side while pulling the fuser unit. after removing the fuser unit remove its the top and bottom cover. the two thermistors is located on top near the fixing separation claw beside the two thermal fuses. Verify the fixing unit,your fixing lamp or thermistors is in malfunctioned.Clean the thermistors,thermalfuses or the thermal lamp located in the fuser unit.
