SOURCE: Battery EXTREMELY Exhausted

As the other person says Nimh rechargable batteries are the best....Also somewhere in the menu system you will find that you need to define which type of battery you are using, this may be the cause...Nikon UK have an excellent after care team if all else fails.

SOURCE: Nikon 7600 Battery Exhausted

There is a menu item on the camera to select what kind of battery (Li-Ion, NMh, or Alkaline) is being used. I strongly recommend the use of a rechargeable cr-v3 battery in this camera. There is also a reset function for the battery indicator.

Why does my camera keep saying battery exhausted even when I change the batteries?

If batteries leaked in the camera the connections IN the camera may be dirty. Putting in a new battery takes care of the battery connection but not the camera connections. This is why it is very important to take out batteries when you are done taking photos. When you want to shoot again you put the batteries back in and set the time and date. You MAY be able to clean the connections with a pencil eraser. If you use a pencil eraser please blow out the dust from the eraser. If you are positive the camera then I cannot help you here.

I have a Nikon L120 and it will say "Batteries Exhausted" and turn off. I haven't even used it in a week, turn it on, battery is full bar, go to take a pic and "Batteries Exhausted". It can't

Please swap and confirm if this is related to an early battery failure for which you can get a free replacement.. Also if within warranty do not tamper to cancel your warranty.

I keep getting "Battery Exhausted" messages, with new batteries

you have to use only very good quality batteries ...I have a philips..and if I do not put alcaline quality bateries in it ..it do not even power up ....and even with this expensive ones it eats 'em like snacks...
by the way ...keep the batteries inside only when you shoot cause all this new cameras with display and so ...consumes the batteries even when they are powered off ..
my advise is to buy some accumulators the kind you charge on the home power plug.....so in this way .. you will always have strong power into them ..and the cost its worthily ..

Nikon coolpix 2100 camera won't stay on

I've been having problems with the batteries and the camera refusing to start even with fresh batteries. I bought loads of new rechargable batteries and have finally found some that work. Duracell rechargables. Theyr'e brilliant and keep their charge for ages despite continuous use of the camera! Last summer I managed to take 975 photos before the batteries finally decided to give up!
