USB001 why does the "USB001" come up ?

When installing the printer click on local printer and uncheck the box below it. I think it says something like locate my device. then on next screen click create new port, you should see USB001 in there.

If your printer is using a USB cable to connect to the computer, please try the instuctions below:

1. Go to the Control Panel > Printers
2. Right-click the printer icon > Properties
3. Ports tab > select USB001 > click on Apply so that the printer name would appear right next to the port.
4. If USB001 is already selected, try to select another USB Virtual Printer Port.
5. Save the configuration
6. Make sure to set the printer to online.
7. Try printing a test page

well..either they are there, or they are not. most likely listed among the USB items at the bottom, instead of with the printer ports..if not, open control panel system device manager, and do a 'scan for hardware changes'

that should do the trick.

Have you tried all USB ports? or installed the drivers?
