Where can I have my Garmin GPS126 Receiver repaired?

Input/output socket broken. I could attempt a repair myself if you could tell me where to get a replacement.

SOURCE: Garmin nuvi 350 - broken screen

If the LCD is actually leaking (big stain on the screen) then it cannot be repaired, only replaced.

Replacing an LCD is a relatively simple job on any GPS, it is normally just a case of opening the casing, disconnecting the ribbon cable on the old screen and putting the new one in its place. As long as you are careful and put everything back where you found it then you should have no problems.

You can check all the parts suppliers in your area or online for a new screen, but for the lowest cost solution I would suggest searching ebay for a faulty nuvi 350 with an intact screen. If you can find one you will probably get it for less than the cost of a new part, plus whatever bits you have left you can always resell. There are always people wanting to buy spares for satnavs.

SOURCE: Garmin Nuvi 660 cradle socket is broken.

I called Garmin at 1-800-800-1020 and spoke to a customer service rep. Indicated I was driving down the road and the GPS fell out of the cradle socket...which the GPS could have broke. They said no problem and are sending me a new cradle socket at no charge. Good Luck.

Garmin shows picture computer

The computer picture shows if the usb cable connects to a computer. If the picture shows when the usb socket is connected to the cigar lighter power supply, it could be that the socket in the Garmin has got damaged. I had a Nuvi 200 like this where the socket had broken away from the circuit board inside, but the repair was difficult, involving micro-soldering!

My garmin 660 won't transmit audio through speakers or fm transmit. I go to audio output and it says that "Audio output can not be changed when using headphones" I can use it with headphones...

You have a problem with the headphone jack. Please see this link and read the section about BROKEN HEADPHONE JACK

http://www.sharc.net/gps_audio_repair.htm

Because there is a broken connection, your Nuvi thinks there are headphones connected at all times, so you wont be allowed to change the sound options. I've repaired this problem many times. Don't try it yourself, you risk damaging your Nuvi beyond repair.

Broken lcd screen

Ifthey don't give you a new one under warranty, are third party Garmin repair services that will fix it for cheap. Also, I found an DYI GPS repair guide,so you can do it yourself too, not that difficult.

GARMI GPS 498

I would contact Garmin and get their price for a repair. Navigation is too important to trust to a repair that may or may not be correct. Just go to http://www.garmin.com and click on the support tab.

I have an RCA F36676ET that has a broken cable connection. TV works fine with DVD player but satellite connection not recognized. Can the cable connection be replaced? Can I do it myself?

If you mean the cable connector is broken off, then yes, that can be replaced. A company called MCM Electronics sells replacement connectors, but the repair requires soldering skills. Incorrectly done, the repair attempt can create even more problems. I suspect your satellite receiver has A/V outputs like the DVD player. Why not connect the receiver the same way as the DVD player and forget about the cable connection? You'll get improved picture and sound that way. If the set has only a single set of A/V inputs, you can cheat and use "Y-adapters" available at Radio Shack to connect the two sources to the same jacks, or you can get an A/V switch to do it.
