The WPS button is used to configure a wifi connection with other devices that also have a WPS button. To use it you press the WPS button on the router then on the device you are trying to get access on and then both will be automatically configured.

Does my zte z835 have a wps button for wifi

Phones do not usually have a WPS button; they often have an option to use the WPS button during Wi-Fi setup. Your wireless router may have the WPS button; check the manual or look at the router for the button location. To connect the phone to a router with a WPS button, go to Settings (from All Apps) and choose Wi-Fi. Make sure that the slider is set to On. Then tap on the icon with three dots in a black rectangle. Choose the Advanced option. Tap the WPS Push Button option and then push the WPS button on the router.

I looked at the AT&T manual for the ZTE Z835 (Maven 3) for the specifics on this section of the Wi-Fi setup. See page 44 (page 46 of the PDF) of the manual: https://images.comparecellular.com/phones/2673/ZTE-Maven-3-user-guide-ATT-english.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Where to find wps pin on canon mx494 printer

Hi Mbali, PIXMA MX494 Wireless Connection SetupSome access points (sometimes referred to as routers or hubs) feature an automatic connection button labelled "WPS" which stands for Wi-Fi Protected Setup. This allows permitted devices such as your PIXMA MX494 to connect to your network without needing to enter a password and it enables a quick and easy method of connecting your devices. This method is by far the easiest way of connecting your PIXMA MX494 so if your access point has a WPS button please select the 'WPS Connection Method' tab below for instructions on connecting using this method. If your router does not support WPS we have provided alternative instructions to get your PIXMA MX494 connected so please select the 'Standard Connection Method' tab below.Back to topWPS Connection Method Standard Connection Method Restore to Factory SettingWPS Connection Method Before we start, there are some conditions that must be met in order to use the WPS push button method:The access point must have a physical WPS push button available. Please check with your device's user guide for details. If the WPS push button is not available please use the instructions on the Standard Connection Method tab.Your network must be using the WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) or WPA2 security protocol. Most WPS enabled access points use this protocol.Press the [Setup] button (B) on the printer. Use the arrow buttons (C) to select [Device settings] and press the [OK] button. Use the arrow buttons (C) to select [Wireless LAN setup] and press the [OK] button. The printer will now automatically search for access points supporting the WPS feature. The following message will be displayed on the printer's screen "Press WPS button of the wireless router about 5 sec. and press [OK] on this printer" Press and hold the [WPS] button on your access point for approximately 5 seconds, then release. For exact instructions on starting WPS on your access point, please refer to its user guide. Press the [OK] button on the printer within 2 minutes. Once connected, the following screen will appear. Where is the wps button on a N 1 Belkin route?

Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup
WPS uses WPA2 (described below) for encryption. It does not
provide additional security, but rather, standardizes the method for
securing your wireless network. You may use either the Push Button
Configuration (PBC) method or PIN method to allow a device access to your wireless network. Conceptually, the two methods work as follows:
PBC: Push and hold the WPS button located on the back of your
Router for three seconds. Then initiate the WPS procedure on the client device within two minutes. Refer to your client's documentation on this procedure. Pushing the PBC button will automatically enable WPS. The client has now been securely added to your wireless network.
PIN: The client device has a PIN number (either four or eight digits)
that is associated with WPS. Enable WPS through the GUI shown
below. Enter the client's PIN into the Router's internal registrar
(accessed through this GUI). The client will be automatically enrolled
into your wireless network within two minutes.

2. Select a radio button.
• Push and Connect (recommended). Either click the button or press the WPS
button on the rear panel of the Internet adapter.
• PIN Number. Select the radio button and a PIN displays.
The Internet adapter tries to join the wireless network for 2 minutes if you are using Push
'N' Connect, or 4 minutes if you are using a PIN.
3. Go to the router.
• If you are using Push 'N' Connect, press the router's WPS button.
• If you are using a PIN, log in to the router and type the PIN from your Internet adapter
in its WPS screen.
4. Go back to the computer that is connected to the Internet adapter, and make sure that you
are connected to the wireless network.
• When WPS is running, the WLAN LED blinks, alternating between green and amber.
• If the computer does not to connect with WPS, the WLAN LED is solid red for 5
seconds.
• If the computer does connect using WPS, the WLAN LED is solid green for 5 seconds

Wps light blinking

CALL YOUR ISP FIRST.
wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is a standard for easy and secure wireless network set up and connections. Some of NETGEAR's products use the name Push 'n' Connect for WPS. To use WPS, your product must support WPS and be compatible with WPA security. WPS can automatically set up a random network name (SSID) and strong WPA wireless security for wireless routers, access points, computers, adapters, Wi-Fi phones, and other electronic devices. WPS lets you use a push button or enter a personal identification number (PIN) instead of manually entering a network name (SSID) and password:
  • Push button. The WPS button is either on the product or a clickable button on a wizard or utility screen.

Can't find the PIN of this product

Good morning. There is no PIN to find on the router. You get the PIN from the Wireless client and enter into the router setup screen.
The wireless router supports two types of WPS, the WPS via Push Button and WPS via PIN code. If you want to use the Push Button, you have to push a specific button on the wireless client or in the utility of the wireless client to start the WPS mode, and switch the wireless router to WPS mode. You can simply push the WPS button of the wireless router, or click the 'Start to Process' button in the web configuration interface. If you want to use the PIN code, you have to know the PIN code of the wireless client and switch it to WPS mode, then fill-in the PIN code of the wireless client through the web configuration interface of the wireless router.

Here is the link for the Owners Manual for your router..

I have two laptops and want to set up a wireless network. I have the wireless set up but it isn't secure. When I go in to the Homegroups page it asks me for a 4 or 8 digit PIN number found on the router....

If you don't know it, you won't be able to automate your Wifi Protected Setup (WPS). The pin is a very specific way to prevent yourself from always having to remember codes, keys, passphrases, etc. Without it, its like saying that you want to to connect to Bank of America, and that it's just okay because you want it to happen.

The following is taken from the ESR-9753 manual:

- Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

WPS is the simplest way to establish a connection between the wireless clients
and the wireless router. You don’t have to select the encryption mode and fill in a
long encryption passphrase every time when you try to setup a wireless
connection. You only need to press a button on both wireless client and wireless
router, and the WPS will do the rest for you.

The wireless router supports two types of WPS: WPS via Push Button and
WPS via PIN code. If you want to use the Push Button, you have to push a
specific button on the wireless client or in the utility of the wireless client to start
the WPS mode, and switch the wireless router to WPS mode. You can simply
push the WPS button of the wireless router, or click the ‘Start to Process’ button
in the web configuration interface. If you want to use the PIN code, you have to
know the PIN code of the wireless client and switch it to WPS mode, then fill-in
the PIN code of the wireless client through the web configuration interface of the
wireless router.
