You have to remove the wireless card adapter, if it is inserted into one of the accessory card ports on the laptop. If the wireless adapter is installed internally in the computer, consult your user manual on how to remofe the wireless adapter.
SOURCE: hp dv2000 error code 104- unsupported wireless network device detected system halted
The user has not described the operating system in use.
However this problem generally occurs due to incompartible hardware. in this case it is ever stated. ie. Network interface Device. I suggest you disconnect the Network devices including cables, then try to reboot.
If not descibe how far the booting process gets and type of network hardware connected and operating system to your system

And when you did that, did the system then work? If it did you may have a faulty WiFi card or an incompatible driver.

Hi,
I think you can try this steps and hope it will help you.
Try to reseat the Wireless Card in your machine.
You will need the following tools to complete the removal and replacement procedures:
-Magnetic screwdriver
-Phillips P0 screwdriver
-5.0-mm socket for system board screwlocks
-Flat-bladed screwdriver
-Tool kit-includes
Turn the machine upsidedown
Remove the battery.
Wireless Card Removal
1. Loosen the PM2.0×5.0 screw 1 that secures the Mini PCI
compartment cover to the computer.
2. Lift the rear edge of the Mini PCI compartment cover 2, and
then swing it forward.
3. Remove the Mini PCI compartment cover.
4. Disconnect the wireless antenna cables 1 from the Mini PCI
communications card.
5. Spread the two retaining tabs 2 that secure the Mini PCI
communications card to the communications compartment
socket. (The board rises up).
6. Remove the wireless communications card 3 by pulling the
board away from the socket at a 45-degree angle.
**Reverse the above procedure to install a Mini PCI
communications card.
If happens that it does not work, I think you can just reinstall OS just to make sure if its Hardware or Software problem.
