Make this test and fix it. GOD BLESS YOU

Door Hinge

An oven door repair may be needed if the door hinge breaks or is bent out of shape. Oven doors have two door hinges, a left and right. On some ovens the same hinge is used, on other ovens the right hinge and left hinge have different part numbers. The door hinge sometimes is sold with all necessary parts and springs, other times the parts need to be ordered separately. An oven door repair for a door hinge is a relatively easy repair for a do-it-yourselfer.

Outer Door Glass

If the outer door glass is broken, it can be replaced. This oven door repair requires that the oven door be removed from the oven and layed down on a sturdy flat surface. The outer door glass is made of tempered glass. Use eye and hand protection when performing this oven door repair.

Cannot put the oven door back on

Hi Elspeth:
Don't know what make or model you are dealing with, but from personal experience, here's what I dealt with.
- Oven door is mounted on spring loaded hinges. That's what keeps it in the closed position.
- To remove the door, it has to be fully opened, then lifted from close to the hinges, and slid out.
- To put the door back on, the hinges have to be in the "door open" position. Since they are spring loaded this can be tricky getting them into position.
- It's easier with a helper, one on each side....... slide the hinge legs into the slots. You'll need to lift the door slightly towards the closed position to allow the hinge legs to engage in the secure or latched position.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

My Maytag wall oven CWE9000ACB is giving me a fault code F2.

The F2 fault code is usually for a out of limit tempature reading due to a faulty temp probe or excessive temp during clean cycle with door unlocked. If you have disconnected the power for over 10 minutes and the error keeps coming back then you will need to test the tempature probe to see if it is defective. Test with a OHM meter and at room tempature most probes should read around 1100-1300 ohms. if the reading is way off or open then replace the tempature probe.

I have a JVM 1650BB008 GE microwave oven. I am trying to replace the outer door frame and handle, which are broken. I have removed the door and have pried off the choke cover. Now I need to remove the old...

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

You have to remove the door handle screw(s) and the door handle, then look for subtle clips that may be holding the outer door screen in place.

Some models have two screws holding the door handle, but some have only one. In that case, remove the screw, then you either lift or rotate the handle to free it.
