I replaced the Black Ink Cartridge Like I have Done Before, however this time a message states: "Supply Expired. Printing Stopped. Replace Black Ink Cartridge. Press Enter to Continue." I have done this and still get the same message. I called Hp Tech Support only to discover that my Warranty in no longer in effect and they can solve the problem if I pay them to extend my Warranty. "Black" mail! Help! There is an easy solution to this and perhaps you have the answer. I paid the Premium price for your service. Fletch
HP 7110 Printer
The problem with the printer is it does not work, there are flashing lights and the message it gives you is to turn the power on and turn it back on. Needless to say when I reboot the system and unplug the printer and plug it back up, I get the same message, does anyone have any solutions to this problem????
You seem to be using an expired ink cartridge. Check the date on the cartridge. You see this printhead works in conjuntion with the cartridges and identifies the expiration date of the cartridge leaving you with an error message. If you recently purchased the cartridge I would take it back and make sure you check the date. Ir would have to be over 1 year expired. If that is not the case your printer could be malfuctioning giving error messages. If that is the case you should reset your printer to factory setting. Another could be that the encoder strip may have ink residue on it or may be damaged. Hope this helps
Well there are a few reasons for this error message 1) if this is a new cartridge try removing it and reloading it. Make sure that you have removed both pieces of tape from the print cartridge. 2) You have a bad print head (this happens a lot) and 3) you have a bad cartridge and the chip needs to be rest or replaced. Most of the time I see this kind of error it is because the cartridge is not seated right, or because the print heads are bad.

My HP officejet 7110 told me i was out of black ink. I repalced with a black cartridge purchased in a two pack. The printer said the catridge was expired and will not let me print although the catridege was new and full of ink. This really bothers me as I am wasting $ 28- $32 dollars. Can u override the equiptment? I tries changing settings but the manual said thios does not override an expird cartridge. Please help. Thanks
I have replaced the colour ink when a message appeared saying it has expired, but the message still says supply expired for the new cartrage
