Configure Modem Echolife HG520s With WRT54G OR WRE54G

Good Day All,

Please I need your help to configure my new Modem Echolife HG520s With router WRT54G OR expander WRE54G !!

I have DSL connection

THE FIRST TRY was with router WRT54G ... I have connect the Modem in LAN 1 to ROUTER PORT INTERNET but it doesn’t work !! again I have connect the Modem in LAN 1 to ROUTER PORT LAN 2 .. this time the Wireless of the ROUTER working well, but I have some conflict and interruption in the Modem ( Echolife HG520s) LAN network ( the other LAN port doesn’t work properly)

So, I have to disconnect the Router WRT54G and restart the modem to use the other LAN Ports in the Modem!!

THE 2ED TRY was with expander WRE54G... I have made the auto configuration with Modem Echolife HG520s Wireless range and its work but the Wireless become connect and disconnect also the Mobile can't find the Wireless network, some time its fined it but it seem like no network connection!!!

Also I have a Speed Touch 585 modem ... Does it benefit?

Not sure if I understand properly but your router should have a WAN port or an "Internet" port

your modem should be connected to it and your PC should be on any of the LAN port

You don't need drivers.
Connect your router via Ethernet, and log in to 192.168.1.1 with any brower, such as Firefox!
and Enter Username and Passwords, usually are located in the back of the router. and enter your information to connect to the internet.

Router modem-CAT5 adaptor

does this router have a lan1 lan2 lan3 lan4 ports ?
the adsl port may be for a phone line so you may need to turn off the ADSL functions in the Huawei Echolife HG520s router . Turn off the DHCP server and then plug connect lan1 to your office network. Change the ip address to be unique in your office network ip network range.
maybe 192.168.0.2 if office router is 192.168.0.1 subnet mask made the same .

I have a clearwire modem. I have to locate it 80 ft from my two home desktops and laptop. i need to know how to best do this. i have an e2000 router that i was hoping to use a wre54g range extender...

The Linksys E2000 router is N series router and the WRE54G is G range expander.
WRE54G is only computer with the WRT54G and WRT54GS routers.
You have E2000 router. I believe that router is capable of broadcasting the wireless signal upto 100 fts.
As Linksys says that router is capable of signal up 200 - 300 fts, but it is not.
You can try changing the wireless channel on the router to increase the signal.
Open the setup page of the router.
Go to wireless tab and change the configuration view to manual.
Try changing the channel to 11, 9, 6 ,1. See if that works.

U Torrent port is not open since changing from a modem to a router its a Huawei Echolife HG520b type router.Torrent page is showing a red symbol,not green for faster downloading.The fire wall has U Torrent...

You should find this page on your router configuration where you can configure which port is open for which computer.
Its virtual server for your router. Look for NAT under Basic settings.
