Not draining I washed the clothes and then attempted to dry them, however the clothes came out slighly damp at first so repeated a drying cycle. When the drying cycle had finished for a second time, the clothes instead of dry were soaking wet!! The washing machine fills with water OK but does not seen to drain... We have checked and cleaned the pump outlets and removed some coins that were found but still machine does not drain... please help!!

It will be the pump they have a small fan inside them they get weak and with the pressure of the water they stop spinning which doesnt push your the water through the motor fast enough to drain properly replace and you will see the difference

I have a Whirlpool Gas Dryer LGR6646BI-12 the clothes feel warm but not hot and they are still damp

The Dryness Level allows adjustment of how damp or dry the clothes are at the end of the cycle.
  1. Make sure the correct Cycle has been selected for the type of fabric being dried.
  2. If the correct cycle is selected and the clothes are still coming out too damp, use the Auto Dry Level button (Kenmore) or Dryness Level button to increase the Dryness level.

  1. If the highest Dryness Level setting was selected and the clothes are still damp, the Customer Focused Drying Mode settings that are built into the machine can be adjusted.
Dryers come from the factory set to Drying Mode 1 (default). Drying Modes 2 and 3, include additional drying time.
Note: This change will affect ALL Auto Dry cycles.
  1. Machine MUST be in Standby mode before beginning. (Standby mode = Plugged in, Power off)

  1. To select drying modes, momentarily press the Auto Dry Level button (Kenmore) or Dryness Level button (Whirlpool) again. The dryer will beep, and the display will flash and show the next drying mode number.
  1. With the door open and the display flashing the desired drying mode number, press the Start button to save the drying mode and exit diagnostics.
  1. Press the Pause/Cancel key at any time to cancel changes and exit from this mode.
Hope this works............

LG WM3677 - clothes are soaked after dry cycle

It is usual for the pump to keep running throughout the spin cycle and for some minutes afterwards to ensure as much water as possible is extracted. What you say confirms that the machine is empty of water at that point.

The question is where is the water coming from and I can think of only two possible answers - either it is coming from the supply or for whatever reason, it is syphoning in or being drawn into the machine from the drain. The latter should be impossible if an air-break is included in the drain but it is theoretically possible if not. My daughter recently found after she emptied her sink she was slowly filling her washer due to a blocked wastepipe.

Assuming the water is coming from the supply, it can only enter the machine if the supply solenoid valve is leaking or if it is being energised by the controller. I suspect if the controller is energising the solenoid valve during the drying cycle it is either faulty or extremely misguided.
I suggest testing the theory by temporarily disconnecting the valve after the final spin but before the drying cycle begins. If the laundry is dry it indicates the controller and if it is wet (with clean fresh water) it is likely to be the solenoid.

Dryer turns on and rotates. However, does not dry clothes completely. Cycle signals wet, then damp, cool down and finally dry,but clothes are still wet. Sometimes the dryer works fine and completely dries...

This problem may be the result of a dirty lent filter which if clogged will short cycle the dryer and the clothes will still be damp when done. Also a dirty exhaust pipe (usally 4") will prevent the clothes from drying correctly. Make sure that the air is leaving the machine. To do this you have to go outside when the machine is running.

Foul water smell from the washer, occassionally clothes still very damp.

Run a wash cycle without clothes and run with hot water, detergent and a cup of baking soda. Get in the habit of leaving the lid open after each washing session which lets the interior dry out. Make sure the drain water leaves forcefully as this is a timed event--check the drain hose for bends or kinks.

When clothes are dryed on the perm press cycle either reg dry or very dry, they are still damp. I have to run it through 2 or more times to get them dry. I'm told by Bosch that is what perm press is...then...

You may not be getting sufficient air flow--remove the lint filter and wash it with detergent and hot water. Also clean excessive lint out of the air vents (under the filter too). Don't use 'perm press' if you want things absolutely dry. Remove and hang up before they cool. 'Damp dry' really means 'don't dry' I guess!

Washer-dryer # wm3677HW will not dry, heats up, run, on and on

You're a moron. This unit washes and dries. That's the whole point of it. Perhaps you should do some research before answering the question. the most likely cause is the water lever sensor.

Washer/dryer combo- i just want to use the dryer!

You can check this by closing your faucet on the wall, & trying the spin only option. If you suceed in the clothes being dry, you have an inlet problem, replace the water inlet valve at the top of the machine, you can do it yourself. Power off the mains. You could also check out your filter & pump.
