Read the manual. These so called "problems" are standard safety features that someone should have gone over with you. Sounds like poor salesmanship. When starting the mower the bars should be out and the park brake pulled. Then disengage the parkbrake and pull the arms in to drive the mower. Do exactly the opposite to get off the mower. I just bought one today every model I looked at was like this.
yes when the belt broke it grabe the wires that goto the cluch frome the pto switch and thay have bar spots on them and are grounding out i just done one that was doing the sam thing all you have to do is fix the wires and that should fix ya up thanks for your time mickey
You need to inspect the throttle mechanism at the carburetor. When you pull the throttle trigger, it should move the throttle arm to it's 'full on' stop, and when it is released, the arm should come back to the idle stop screw. If the action seems to be indefinite, take the throttle trigger mechanism apart (make notes of part placement as you go), and clean it of sawdust and dirt. Don't run the engine until the throttle is working correctly. The 'stop' switch may also be full of sawdust, or the connecting wire may be damaged. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight as an air leak behind the carburetor can cause engine racing. Hope this helps!
Remove the spark plug and check for blue, snappy spark. If nothing, try a new plug--set gap at 0.020". If still nothing and machine is still under warranty, take it back to your dealer for free repair. The problem could be the ignition switch or the ignition module. Hope this helps!
You don't need to remove the column off to replace the hazard switch.
1. Take a pair of neede nose pliers and just pull the old one out. 2. Lube up you new one and just slide it in. The part numbers for the hazard switch are: 15174447 (retails for $16.23) & 15177379 (retails for $18.42). You have to look for the bar code on the top of the turn signal (multifunction) switch. If the number is 26083635, 26083636, or there is no bar code use the 15174447 hazard switch. If the barcode number is 26090641, 26090642, 26096832, or 26096833 use the other hazard switch (15177379). Now these numbers came off of the recall that was for the 2000 & 2001 S/T trucks so they may not work back too far. But I know that one of those switches works back to 96 (and maybe 95). Thank you for using Fixya and this should take you about 5 min to replace. Good luck
Your Manual nor IPL mention an oiler adjustment..
445 IPL (may not be your saw)
Is this the original bar? A longer bar requires more oil and your saw is not equipped to supply it. http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/USA/2007/I07000/I0701086.pdf
Detail B (Clutch/Drum/Oiler)
We are seeing many of these does not oil/oils to much problems with these no adjustment models. I recommend you contact Husqvarna, there may be an unannounced recall/repair. If they aren't willing to help you consider contacting your Atourney General and the BBB.

It has an outboard clutch, the oil pump is behind it. If you attempt a repair this will be helpful. R² Drive Link Outboard Clutch by Drivelink.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdqkIuVNUQc
Check the IPL for your saw to see if any special tools are needed.
There are metal piston stops available, when square (almost never) with the piston top these work well, if not square they have been known to punch through the piston. I suggest a length of starter cord or nylon rope be used instead of the piston stop (retain 6" ± so you can remove it). Make sure the piston is near the top of the cylinder before feeding the cord or it can fall through the exhaust port and damage the piston as it rises.
Everyone I’ve ever removed had a left handed thread (tighten it to loosen it). Let us know how it worked for you.

remove side cover, bar & chain.ther is an ob long channel above the bar mounting studs that lines up w/the small holes near the edge of the bar, thats where the oil comes out.clean everything.sawdust gets packed in the holes & stops the oil flow.
first thing you need to do is check the wire for any bare spots or if it is melted to some thing inside the saw.if neither is present then the coil will be bad.call husqvarna, the coil should have a lifetime warranty on it.hope this helps, let me know
