NEW MAPS??? Can somebody tell me how to download the rest european maps? Actually I've got only 22 EU Countries but I need the south-east europe as well and Greece? Thanks in advance!

If you bought the satnav in the USA it won't work in Europe. If you bought it in Europe you can download the maps but the full map of Europe won't fit on it. You can fit Western Europe or add and remove countries as you need them. It's probably not a satisfactory solution when traveling with a motor home. You can put the map on an SD card but the nuvi 200W has problems reading maps from SD cards of 2 Gb or more. The map of Europe would take a 4 Gb card to hold it all.

You would probably be better to buy a cheap satnav of Europe. You can get them from http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/xx/617/xx/1914/23/criteresn.html?sSortInfo=Prix-ASC
if you want to buy on line or Halfords shops if you prefer to deal with someone face to face. Some of them cost less than €100 and would be near the same price as buying the map of Europe.

Or if you want a satnav that covers both the USA and Europe and will work in both the Garmin nuvi 1370 or the 2370 would do the job but costs a bit more.

Maps of Europe for Garmin GPS devices can be purchased on line. You'll need a USB cable to connect the Garmin to your computer. Then, with the USB cable connected, go to http://www.garmin.com

On the web site, first register your product. Then look for "Support" and follow their instructions for updating your software. (Software updates are free.) After you've done that, look for "Maps" on the menu at the top of the screen. By the way, maps are huge files, so plan on the map download and installation taking several hours or maybe even overnight to update your maps even if you have a fast internet connection.

You haven't stated which exact maps you have installed nor which countries were missing.

However, European mapping does not cover the whole of Europe; for example if you have a version with UK and European maps it's normally Western Europe with just a few Eastern European countries but you can buy additional maps if required.

The GPS system sounds like it may be a Garmin brand and the mapset you're talking about sounds a lot like the "Mad Maps" for "Route 66". The Mad Map collection consists of specialized maps for particular use or interest. There are maps other than the Route 66 map in the collection available.

Depending on GPS model, you may be able to download new maps to the GPS or obtain new maps on memory cards from Garmin directly. The Route 66 map card may not be large enough to hold current US maps - new US maps require 1 to 2 GB of memory.

You will have to buy a version of European maps. After you download them into your Garmin it will work just like in the US.

For the nuvi, you need City Navigator NT - Europe. It's available loaded onto an SD card that you just plug into the unit. Since you're in a hurry, you might want to call Garmin and see if they can suggest a retailer that might have it in stock. Here's their contact information for support in the UK. Good luck!

I bought a Garmin 750 on compusa website for 230 and it supports European maps
