Tom tom one won't down load home automatically
First BACKUP your SD card.
Go here and download latest version of TomTom HOME >> For the PC or for the MAC , You can download tomtom HOME here >
I would recommend you only do a map upgrade if you definatly need to as looking at other posts on this forum lots of people have problems after trying to update maps.
Updating maps is NOT FREE , you have to pay for updates and after downloading updates you need to reactivate the map with your product code . Only do an update after backing up your existing maps other sie you might have trouble reverting back if the download goes wrong.

Find a circuit diagram or schematic for my TomTom?
Hi Aaron. Sorry for the delay in responding but I have thousands of photos and not a very good filing system!! Anyway, I have some good quality photos of the boards but, looking at them closely, the resistors DO NOT have values printed on them - unusual I know but they are blank in that area.
You need a schematic if you can get hold of one or, someone with one you could measure from - although this would be difficult.
I have attached some photos, cut down for the area so you can see what I mean
Sorry I could not help more.

How to backup tomtom
Back to support home page
The easiest way to make a backup of all the contents of your TomTom device is by using TomTom HOME
. You can make one backup per device and store it on your computer. When you make a new backup, the old backup for that device is overwritten.
We recommend setting HOME to back up automatically before installing new content. [ more...
