I have forgotten my password for my Linksys wireless router. I already have it connected to my laptop but want to add my IPhone and can't remember my password. Can you assist.
This helped me a lot and got me to the passphrase. I was typing it in correctly but I also have Key1 - 4 with specific coding. Do I use one of thes in my IPhone as the password or do I need to do something else.

Please follow the following steps:
1) Click Start > run > cmd > ipconfig (enter) and note down the Deafult gateway should be some numbers like 192.168.1.1 etc
2) Open internet explorer and type those numbers in the address bar and press enter
3) now you will get the router page, login with following details
username: admin
password: admin or password
4) and in wireless settings you can find the password (WEP) to connect the IPhone

Hi, If you have forgotten the router password you can reset it. To do this, turn the router upside down and look for a small pinhole that says reset. Get a stapler and press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. The router will reset to factory defaults and you will be able to login again using the default username and password. For linksys routers is "admin" for both fields.
Use an Ethernet cable to connect a computer (desktop/laptop) to one of the "wired' ports on the router.
Connect to the built-in web-server "inside" the router.
Run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard", to configure the wireless capabilities of the router; assign an SSID, and assign a password for the wireless network.
Put a direct line into the router and open an internet window. In the search bar type 192.168.0.1 and it should take you inside your router. you can see your password there
Go to Start>control panel> Network and internet> network connections > right click on wireless network > select 'view available wireless networks' and select your home network and click connect. If it asks for a password i guess u have it or if u dont have then go to Internet Explorerand and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, it will ask for a username and a password, type admin as username and the same for password. it will take you to the lynksys page....then select wireless and click wireless security, it will show you the wireless password.......
If u have windows vista :
Click Start > go to 'connect to' > select the wireless network you want to connect to and the rest is the same as windows xp....
