Pull the power from the router and modem. Wait about 1 minute and plug in just the modem. Wait 1 minute for the modem to come up completely and plug in the router. Wait another minute for the router to come up completely. Now test your connection.

SOURCE: wireless ready laptop not getting connected to internet through belkin router

You may want to check if the wireless switch is "ON"
on the laptop most wireless ready laptops has either a
button or toggle switch to enable the wireless radio..
if it's already enabled and you still cant connect to
the wireless network, try changing the wireless channel
from the router.

SOURCE: New Belkin router wont connect to internet.

your user name and password have been entered incorrectly, they are case sensitive and must be exact. Make sure your ADSL settings are set at 0/38 (you'll see where)

SOURCE: i have belkin router connected

Reset the router:

Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.

Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.

Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.

Step 4 Release the Reset button.

Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.

Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.

Note: Do not recycle power during the reset procedure.

When it says hold for about 10 seconds, don't hold for more than ten seconds or the procedure will likely fail, if ten seconds doesn't work try 5 seconds.

After you reset the router, restart your computer

Thank you for using fixya.

Being that your other computers in the network are working properly, you should switch the ip settings on your comnputer to automatically detect. That way your computer does all the routing and ip setting,

After you have set that back. Remove the power of your router, remove the power of your modem, and restart your computer.

Once your computer is back up, turn on modem, then the router.

It sounds very simple, but in most cases, it solves the problem.

Can u tell me how to get my wireless router connected to the internet. I keeps telling me there is no internet connection

Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer'sLAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin'sconfiguration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop withthe router's wireless settings. Connect a LAN cable from your DSL or cable modem to the Belkin's WAN/Internet port.

Belkin F5D8236-4 Wireless Router will not connect to pannaway dsl modem with same settings as router I am replacing. Dynamic IP address setup. Modem light continously blinks orange. No internet light.

1) With direct connect with modem, check the IP address and default gateway.
(I came across such a modem, it gave default gateway as 192.168.1.254)
I also had the doubt of configuring as a dynamic connection
But it won't work!
Contact your ISP to completely bridge the modem and configure the dsl modem as PPPoE connection with correct username and password.
Finally connect the modem to router and do a complete network power cycle, i.e.: Unplug power from router 1st, then power from modem, unplug the telephone line and now do the exact reverse process... Plug back the tel. cable, then power to modem... now WAIT for lights on modem to come back, then plug in the power to router. This will surely work.
