The Disk to transfer embroidery files is not being seen by the Sewing/Embroidery machine. Any advice as to how to fix this?

You need the USB Manager software to view the files. Have a look at all the software that were supplied with the machine. Load the embroidery software on your laptop and then open the USB manager.
When it opens it will show a light blue screen and grey icons to the left. Click in "disk", then click on "read disk" and you should be able to see your designs. The grey icons will turn orange were designs are stored, and the grey ones indicate empty space for more designs.
Enjoy your fantastic machine

If you are using the 3D version of the Husqvarna Viking software, you may need to download the latest dongle drivers.
If it is 4D, you may need to update the dongle and you can do it yourself.
Check for support at:
http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us/8588.htm or go to your local Husqvarna Viking dealer.
If you are trying to run 3D on a Vista computer it can be a little complicated. Let me know if this is the case.

Use program compatibility wizard and you'll be able to use the same program in Windows XP also.

Anytime there is a communication issue between machine and module attach the module to a different machine and check it. Possibly at a dealership. This will tell you whether its the machine or module. If its the machine then the soldering points on the embroidery module plug to the A-print (on the side of the machine) circuitboard need to be checked. Then most likely replace the A-print circuitboard.
There are other tests that need to be done in the service program that will help pinpoint and troubleshoot issues with the embroidery unit. Such sensors or stepping motors, etc. Should be left to a tech.
Hope I helped.

I had the same problem and after buying a new card, found out that you get that message if the pattern you are trying to transfer is too big. reduce the size of the pattern and see if that works
