Thank you for your reply, but I'm so sorry, I don't understand what 'reset hem' means? Can you elaborate?

SOURCE: embroidery stick

You need the USB Manager software to view the files. Have a look at all the software that were supplied with the machine. Load the embroidery software on your laptop and then open the USB manager.

When it opens it will show a light blue screen and grey icons to the left. Click in "disk", then click on "read disk" and you should be able to see your designs. The grey icons will turn orange were designs are stored, and the grey ones indicate empty space for more designs.

Enjoy your fantastic machine

If you are using the 3D version of the Husqvarna Viking software, you may need to download the latest dongle drivers.
If it is 4D, you may need to update the dongle and you can do it yourself.
Check for support at:
http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us/8588.htm or go to your local Husqvarna Viking dealer.

If you are trying to run 3D on a Vista computer it can be a little complicated. Let me know if this is the case.

Use program compatibility wizard and you'll be able to use the same program in Windows XP also.

  • To start the Program Compatibility Wizard, click Start, click Help and Support, click Find compatible hardware and software for Windows XP, and then, under See Also in the navigation pane, click Program Compatibility Wizard.

SOURCE: Bernina 180E Embroidery module not recognized

Anytime there is a communication issue between machine and module attach the module to a different machine and check it. Possibly at a dealership. This will tell you whether its the machine or module. If its the machine then the soldering points on the embroidery module plug to the A-print (on the side of the machine) circuitboard need to be checked. Then most likely replace the A-print circuitboard.
There are other tests that need to be done in the service program that will help pinpoint and troubleshoot issues with the embroidery unit. Such sensors or stepping motors, etc. Should be left to a tech.
Hope I helped.

How to transfer embroidery patterns to Brother sewing/embroidery machine

Machine designs first designator is the file name. Your machine shows the file number for the design you want. You do still need to "select" that design number shown to actually begin teh file transfer from a thumb drive or cable direct from your computer if your machine has that feature.

When the new window opens, search for your DVD drive then find the embroidery you want and click Open. The embroidery yoiu chose should open in your embroidery program with the hoop displayed on the screen. Then save the embroidery under a new name in your embroidery design folder on your computer. Then insert your USB into your computer, Open Disk Manager and Read your USB. Then click on one of the empty squares and then click File then Open. In the new window find the embroidery file you saved under a new name on your computer and choose it. It should show up in the empty square you clicked on. Then Write to your USB. Need embroidery foot for Brothers Ult2001

Most sewing machine stores that have Brother machines will probably have the embroidery foot. Ask for part XA5500-001. It's available online here for $22: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/screw-in-embroidery-foot-brother-xa5500001.aspx . Amazon.com also has the embroidery foot: http://www.amazon.com/Screw-Embroidery-Foot-XA5500001-Brother/dp/B0038RAVXI .

I hope this helps.

Bobbin thread shows through fabric ALOT

When this happens you need to adjust the tension down. If it's set at a default of 4 move it down to 3.5 or even down to 3 sew a bit check. Certain threads do this more (Sulky) on the brother than others (Maderia), but the black lettering in the embroidery feature always seems to need adjusted. The tension adjustment is the same for sewing or embroidery mode.
