Non-Supported format detected

Hi, I recently bought a Philips GoGear SA6185 portable media player, which came bundled with Media Converter for Philips v2.0.2.75. When I connect my media player it is recognized under select device tab, and when I convert video files to current device everything works fine, the problem is that when I try to play the converted file on the GoGear I get a message "Non-supported format detected. Use the Philips Media Converter converter to convert files to the device." Like I say, I used the converter to do this but the files won't play. I have also tried converting to folder and syncing the file to my player with media player 11, but still no joy. The pre loaded video that came on the player works fine

Some videos, like music videos, have a copyright protection system on them that will not allow them to play even if you use the converter. You can also go to Philips' website and get the upgrade for your Media Converter - worth a whirl.

Media converter not detecting GoGear

I finally figured out my problem. The program, Bonjour, had been removed from my computer. I reinstalled it at Apple downloads and my player is working just fine again. Here's the link, hope it helps you.

Non-supported fomat detected use the philips media converter otconvert files to the devicr. Flashing when music is playing and some music won,t play and it won,t delete.

The HDD series GoGear is only compatible with older DRM licenses. You will have to load files that are in mp3 format to have any success at all with this series of GoGear.

I have the philips gogear digital audio/video player(sa6185).how do i move video to the player using the supplied arcsoft media converter?i have followed the instructions but when i try to open files to...

The Arcsoft Media Converter only recognizes a limited set of file types. I would download a program called Riva FLV Encoder, and convert the files that the Arcsoft does not recognize to AVI format (the product documentation for Riva says that it converts files to FLV format, but it is quite capable of doing the opposite). Once the video files are converted to AVI format, the Arcsoft Media Converter will recognize them.

FROZEN On NON SUPPORTED FORMAT DETECTED SCREEN

Reset the player by inserting a paerlcip into the reset hole. If that fails, go to Philips' website and upgrade the firmware on your player to solve the freezing issue permanently. Actually, don't go to Philips website - run the Philips Device Manager and select Update. If the device manager won't recognize the player, unplug the GoGear, hold in either the shuffle button or volume + and reconnect it to the computer until a Found New Hardware Wizard window pops up. Once all this is done, use the Philips Media converter to convert all your video files from now on.
