Question edited for clarity. It you have standby, that shows you have power. The only things you can try is a Power Reset, disconnect from the mains, for 10 minutes. Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds and then plug back in. If you are using a remote, check the batteries in the remote. You can also do the check to make sure the remote is putting out a signal. Aim the remote at the front facing selfie of a smartphone. You should see a flash. I think you need a third party software, just convert your videos to the format which support by your player.

Hi, I had the same problem with my SA31xx, when I plugged it into my PC it made the normal usb sounds and then a flash symbol appeared over the battery on the screen. It would not charge at all, I replaced the usb cable and it now works perfectly. Hope this helps.  

There doesn't seem to be one for this chinesium speaker.Probably a throw away item and not serviceable.

The specs for the adapter are not shown in the manual but I imagine they're marked on the speaker module.

Places like Radio Shack could set you up with an adapter that has a compatible electrical and physical connection.

The audio cable is standard RCA stereo on ne end and whateve rmatches your PC on the other.

The skipping problem you are experiencing may be related to the shaft that the laser assy rides on. It may need a little greasing with silicon grease, just a litte bit. Or it could be the spindle motor is wobbling as it turns. If you are a little tech savy, then you can order a new CD drive assy through Ebay and swap it out when it arrives. If you get this far you need to know how to remove the solder short on the new assy otherwise the new drive will not work.

Your are right, but this issue is there with not only philips the region issue is there with all the DVD Players, but there is a solution ......!!!!! you can resolve your issue.
You need to play only pirated dvd's on your dvd player, otherwise you can do one more thing using your computer with software you can change the region free for any movies to play on your dvd player...
