SOURCE: heater will not heat

If you dont smell any gas make sure that all gas valves between the heater and the main gas meter are open, and the gas valve in the heater is in the on position. Try cleaning out the nozzles that the gas comes out of. Sometimes they can build up with cobwebs.

Check and make sure there is nothing fallen on the igniter or spider webs on it. Anything touching it can cause a problem. Make sure wire is not burnt going to igniter. Gas Valve will lock out after a time period if no Ignition.

SOURCE: getting a FL4 service code. hot service igniter

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

Follow the two wires with inline fuses in them down to below the burner tray. The ignitor is at the end. Is it damaged or missing the metal tip? Check the fuses as well. You will likely find the fuses blown and the ignitor damaged. Replace both and you should be back to heated water in no time.

The hot tub Hester will not light up pilot but does turn on and bow cold air

Glenn,
Many things could be wrong. First off, the exhaust fan turns always goes on when you turn on(up) the thermostat. It does that to suck out any residual gas in the combustion chamber. After about 10 seconds you should hear a click which is the gas valve opening to let the gas into the chamber. You should also hear a series of clicks for about 10 sec, which is the electronic ignition firing. If you hear the clicking of the ignition, but do not smell gas from the exhaust, then the gas feed is being blocked. If you don\'t hear the ignition clicking then the computer board is detecting a fault condition by one of its sensors: over-temp, water flow, exhaust fan . These are all in series and if one doesn\'t pass then the ignition won\'t fire.

A/C-Heater control issues

The head control in the dash is most likely the problem, the control in the dash, will have to be replaced.,only thing you can try would be to disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 seconds and put it back on,then turn the ignition on,then start, see if the controller starts to work again,if not replace the head.

Atwood motorhome furnace won't stay lit

I would say this is your electronic ignition system but it sounds like it is not getting gas. This is why they do a 3 time try and shut off. Check you supply line right down to the regulator. Hose could have got partially kinked along the line as well.

I have a york diamond 80 heater. The part that blows the heat out won't come on.. igniter lites and flames come on but blower doesn't..help we are freezing

Sounds like your fan switch is defectiveor posibble installed in the wrong place. This switch is heat controlled and delays the fan coming on until there is warm air to blow.

Drove our 2002 F550 Diesel...shut it off and it would not restart. The dash lights do not come on and the motor cranks fine.... just won't start. Robbie

If the dash lights don't come on then the ignition key switch is no powering the electronics and the diesel pump cutoff solenoid - there is no way for the engine to start.
You need to replace the ignition switch

For that the steering column will have to be dismantled - it's a quite complicated job and if you have never done something like that before you should leave it to a repair shop. Anyone will do, no need for a dealer's shop.

A 1979 Colman RV furnace. Blower shuts off shortly after burner shuts off leaving a hot heat exchanger. After 15 seconds blower comes on again blows for 10 seconds shuts off comes on in 15 seconds blows...

The fan limiting switch is acting up. It should stay running until lower temp is reached. It will cycle until the temp stays below or at the low setting. Limit switches are adjustable.
