Wiring from thermostat to furnace

Typically you normally will have five wires controlling your furnace and airconditioning. R Y W G C. If you get some thermostat wire. Connect them like this---- red wire will go to R(this is your 24V to thermostat)----yellow wire will go Y(Y is your cooling)----white wire will go W(W is for heating)---green wire to G(green is your fan)---black can go to C(this is your common to supply 24Vto thermostat)

Have a Evcon Coleman Furnace shows three green

I have had the same problem with mine for the last 2 years. Remove the motor on the side of the furnace(usually held on by 3 screws) and turn the fan blades inside by hand. after sitting all summer it seems to get stuck. If it moves freely, replace the motor and try to start it again. This fixed mine the last 2 years! Hope this helped.

Furnace not cycling properly.

you might want to check the filter, if the filter is restricting the airflow the furnace will over heat and it will shut down. if you turn it off and on it will reset it and it will try again. Pull the filter out half way and try that, if it runs fine then clean the filter or get a less restrictive one.

Evcon, 3 flashes, combustion air switrch failed to

I have 2 of these furnaces in mobile homes I own. On both of these the wheel inside the draft inducer blower that has the clear tube attached to it has a small wheel in it that over time tends to stick. Take the 4 screws out and give this little wheel located towards the bottom a push. Your problem may be solved without investing in expensive parts :)

Coleman furnace runs a lot

You did not indicate the year or size of the mobile home, but, having lived in several in cold Michigan, here are some things. Be sure all the windows are well sealed. At first, I used to put a strong clear plastic sheet over the insides, and tape these in place. Later, I bought foam insulation board at a lumber yard and cut pieces to fin the window openings, and taped them in. When it is really cold, feel the walls, the floor, and the ceiling. If you find cold to the touch, you are losing heat there. If your floors are cold, put insulating panels and skirting around the bottom of the trailer. If your extreme cold lasts for months, some people consider putting a small electric heater under the trailer that is temperature controlled. Some people do a "roof-over" by setting poles or posts alongside the trailer and adding an additional roof above the trailer. That step would enable you to add insulation above the top if your ceiling is cold. God bless your efforts.

Blower will not shut off

A lot of units have a switch by the blower unit. It switches left or right. One way is automatic running from your thermostat and the other stay running...You can alway turn the blower off from your main breaker box..But that want fix the problem...If I had to guess..You have a small wire loose or disconnected in your thermostat...Take the cover off and look for small wires.. Sometimes these wires get broke moving the settings up and down...Find the lose wire and reconnect...You can replace the thermostat but you will still have to connect the wires to the new one...I have seen people with weed eaters cut a outside wire by the units that caused the blowers and units stay on...Hoor this helps
