Did you just replace toner recently?

If so, was it a factory cartridge?

Resistors? You mean the smart chips?
Here's something I found over the last few years of dealing with these newer laser printers.

Say for example you had a 13,000 page factory toner, you replace it with a 20,000 page aftermarket refill, but you trade off the chip. There are small case triggers that read the toner size (I still haven't figured if it's internal or external) The chip is programmed for a specific cartridge size. The carts don't match, the chips won't work.
Also, certain printers will recall chips that have been used, and won't let you reapeat chips until you have gone a certain number (like it has to have 4 or 5 different chips before you can reuse the first chip).
So options to get around it.
I found in the Dell printers, if you go through the menus, there is a setting that allows you to bypass using factory cartridges, I don't know if Samsung has the same menu settings, but it's worth digging through the layers.
2) Put the chip that came with it back in, and see it it will work.
3) Break down and buy a factory cartridge. I know this is the least attractive option, but it will determine if it is a read sensor, a firmware/software error, or something else.

The whole smart chip imbedding happened about 7 years ago as a settlement on a lawsuit.

Invalid New Toner

You may need to get a new chip on the toner tray. If you go to the place that sold you the toner, they likely have the chip that you need.

Instead of changing black toner printer (samsung clp-510)is giving error INVALID TONER BLACK

This can happen if you install a CLP-500 cartridge OR a Xerox Phaser 6100 cartridge.

Physically they are the same, but the 'chip' is different.

In the case of the Xerox, it is the programing of the chip that 'tells' the printer its a Xerox cartridge, and the printer won't accept this as valid.

If it's a CLP-500, the three contacts on the side of the cartridge have a resistor (for the capacity of the cartridge) and a falmeproof fusible resistor which resets tha page counter (for that cartridge) when a new cartridge is installed.

CLP-500 vertical streaks & a horizontal line with blotches appearing randomly

I've refilled the toner cartridges a few times now and never had a problem with vertical streaks until recently. I refilled both the cyan and magenta and when I ran the test page I had dark vertical streaks on both sides. I fiddled around cleaning things, running cleaning paper through, changing reset resistors but to no avail so eventually decided to buy a replacement refurbished cyan cartridge since the streaks looked mainly blue and bingo... well almost now I just have very light magenta streaks. The issue is obvious when I compared the old and new cartridge, the replacement toner is a much duller cyan and is of the wrong consistency since once it's been in the printer everything gets covered in it which is why I think it causes the banding to occur. I'm just trying to work out now whether to try refilling the magenta again (v. messy) or just go for another refurbished cartridge (£34).

Samsung clp-510n printer

1 Could be toner on the contacts (inside the printer) that mate with the contacts on the cartrdige.

2 Are you sure they are 510 toners and not 500 ones ?? 510 toners have a chip that identifies the cartridge (Colour, Capacity) and maintains a count of the pages printed.
500 toners have a reset fuse that resets the toner counter in the printer, and a resitor that identifies the capacity

3 Are they new cartridges, remanufactured, or 'home refiled'.
if either of the later two, were the chips replaced ? - if not the cartridge still thinks it has printed its full life of pages.

Samsung ClP-500 install cyann toner

Please take your unit to an Authorized Service Center ASAP. Do not tur on the unit again. That burned fuse means that the temperature sensors inside the printer (thermistors) are not working correctly and the unit is overheating.
