The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto on Mac or Windows Photo Gallery and Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ) on Windows.
Take SD memory card out of camera and load through USB adaptor.Or download Picasa free photo suite and click on import, it always seems to find my 5 different cameras. Why can`t you reinstall the software through the Olympus site.
If it has a SD card you can use a USB adapter to avoid having to hook up the camera directly. If it has only internal memory, you will need to download the software from the Olympus site and have the correct cable. If running windows, there are default programs like windows photo gallery etc
The camera is an autoconnect camera. There are no drivers needed if you are running Windows XP or Windows Vista. The camera should immediately be recognized when connected to the computer. If you need photo editing software then you can go to www.olympusamerica.com and click on software downloads and download the free version of Olympus Master 2.
