I replaced the black 100xl ink cartridge in my printer, it is almost full, and was working fine before, now it will not print and only gives me blank sheets. the colored cartridges work fine just not the black. I have uplugged, alligned, cleaned printerhead, updated system, put printer and my computer to use black ink only and still nothing works.Help!

Try to do the Deep Clean Printhead function on your printer. On the printer touchscreen, touch Ink Levels > More Options > Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Try reinstalling all of the printer software. If that does not do it then something is wrong with the printhead itself, specifically the area that controls the flow and metering of the black ink.

My printer won't complete the cartridge alignment function. It only prints the first two bars and then stops. When printing the black cartridge looks faded and half printed lines across even though it is a...

My printer does the same thing. I changed the blank ink yesterday (the printer shows the black ink was low) however after trying and trying and not being able to complete the alignment I decided to change the color ink as well.
It worked. Printer works fine now. Sometimes the ink dries up and you have to change it even though you know it should last longer.
