I have been trying to get help from someone else,

There is a pretty comprehensive description on how to set the timing on a sewing machine bobbin and rotary hook at this address. I think this is what you are looking for. If this does not help, come back to me and we can do some more research. Good luck.

My machine won't stitch, and

Hi, if your bobbin has thread, check to make sure the bobbin is inserted into the shuttle correctly. If it is loaded correctly, check to see if the needle is able to pull the thread through the throat plate.
If it doesn't have thread, then all your sewing machine will do is make little holes because the bobbin thread is what catches the sewing needle thread to form the lock stitch to sew the material together . Check your manual on the sewing machine for where it is and how to put thread into it.

Bobing not catching needle

Hi, not catching the thread, my fears, broken gear, hope not. Lets try a new needle, perhaps when pulling the thread and fabric out of the machine, and I'm guessing, you may have pulled it towards you. This can bend the needle forward, and it wills start dropping stitches.
If a new needle doesn't work, double check the threading of the top tension. Pretty sure that is ok, but just a precaution. If nothing still, remove the bobbin, and thread from the machine. With the slide plate open, turn the machine towards you, and watch where the bobbin goes in. You should see the hook spin around in a counter clockwise motion. If not, then I'd say it is the top gear that went bad. I have them, but doubt it would reach you in time for Christmas. If you need a gear, and obtain locally, I do have a repair guide that shows how to install, retime the machine, and have you up and running again. Might be the bottom timing belt as well, but doubtful.
