Krups XP9000 won't recognise water tank is full

I have just had the same problem with my Krups XP7240 and I discovered (quite by accident!) that it was the magnetic float inside the water tank which was causing it. I think the float must have let some water in and always stayed on the bottom even when the tank was full. As the float was in an enclosed plastic column it was a bit hard to access, but through sheer desperation I snapped a plastic fork in half and wedged the handle section under the float to keep it off the bottom and this works nicely. It is not professional by any means but I was quite pleased with my innovation :)

The only down side to this 'method' is that the opposite is now true and when the tank is empty it doesn't register so you would really have to keep an eye on the water level to avoid killing the element completely.

I would imagine that the only professional way to get this sorted out is to replace the tank (or float if it is accessible?). Good luck!!

Hi, Can you please give me

E8050 does not exist in the Krups info I have, EA8050 does though. You need to remove the tamping piston and unhook all the wires from off the PCB on the side. Then the boiler assembly is attached to the base with 3 screws. This will allow you to tip the boiler over enough to get access to the screw up through the bottom that holds that plastic flange thing on the bottom of the ejection rod while you at the same time have another screwdriver in the screw from the top into the only screw that you see inside the boiler. One of the screws will come undone, it doesn't matter which one. That will allow you to remove the shaft that the seal you are trying to replace fits around. It is called a Barista seal part number MS5015004

While making coffee , water begins to flow underneath, making coffee is interrupted , the device enters in the auto test mode and soon displays error code 06. What to do to fix the problem?

It's not a job for the faint hearted on one of those machines. The 2 places most likely to be leaking are the barista seal on the bottom of the boiler or the distributor which is a motor driven tap that sends the water from a single pump to do various functions. There are also various hoses in there that are under high pressure and can fail in an instant. I have just read the error codes and it seems that the barista seal is going to be the LEAST likely cause of the leak but I would replace it during the process if you are going to have that area close to being apart.

Manual for Krups Il Primo 972

That model is ancient, you are going to be scratching to find a handbook for one of those things. You may be better to ask specific questions relating to what operation of the machine you don't understand. They make good coffee, were relatively reliable and now any parts you may need are now obsolete.

Hi. I have a Krups XP7245 combination

I had the same problem with the XP7240. The rubber seal in the plunger that pushes out the coffee cake after brewing is worn or dirty. You need to romve the cover by taking of the top (screws in the bean collector and cover tray for cleaning tablet). You have to be rough because parts are clicked together. The face of the machine comes off by pulling it upwards (it is just clamped with plastic nudges). Once that is done you remove the 4 screws that were hidden by the stainless steel face. Then remove the electronic board (leave connections on except for bean grinder and boiler). Grinder can then be removed followed by the cream cover. Remove the 15mm steel nut on top of the arm. Remove the front and display. Then use a torix on top of the brew plate and an allan key on the bottom of the plunger. Unscrew, remove spring and seal (very small cup). Let me know if you need more instructions (take a rainy sunday afternoon to do this)

Keep asking me fill up the water tank even it is

Inside the water tank there is a magnetic float which is causing the problem. This float is moving always on the top of the water tank as you fill it with water and in reverse as the water level goes down then the float is moving down to bottom also. So as the magnetic float is moving up and down is giving the signal for the water level if it is full or empty.
So possibly now the float is stuck in the bottom and even if you have refill the tank this is still on the bottom of the tank. This can happen from many reasons. First could be that the plastic column that the float is moving is full of scale and it can not move up and down freely any more so you can clean it from scale by decaling it and even clean it with a wire brush.
A second possibility could be that float have a tiny hole and some water enter in the float and this make it to stay on the bottom of the tank. You can visually inspect it and if possible you can dry out the water and weld with a super glue the hole if possible, if it can not be fixed then you need a new float.
If you wand to fix it temporary until you find a new float you can a plastic clip or similar to secure it always on the top however you when the tank is empty it doesn't register so you would really have to keep an eye on the water level to avoid any other problems with the machine.
Good luck

TRYING TO FIND THERMAL FUSE. MICROTEMP G4A00 TF216C

Unfortunately, YoTeach's initial solution is in error, I believe. YoTeach mentions that typical temps for brewing water are less than 200F, and THAT seems OK, from a couple of quick searches. However, the component that is being replaced is not necessarily working at the same temperature as the water needs to be. The Microtemp G4A00 series has lots of temperatures, and the TF216C means, AFAIK, that Tf is 216C(elsius). See, for example, the datasheet here: http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/625786.pdf Tf is the temperature at which fuse opens. So, the person ACTUALLY needs a thermal fuse that opens (breaks the connection) at 216C. Therefore, either of the two fuse temperatures mentioned: 128 & 140C, would open too soon: i.e. at too LOW a temperature. While 216C may seem like a high temperature (420F), for the fuse to open, the thermal fuse is often very near the heating element. For comparison, I have a Gevalia CM500 coffee pot, and the thermal fuses in my particular unit are Microtemp G4A00 184C- which is about 363F. If anyone thinks I am in error on this, please feel free to contact me: jim underscore peak at Hotmail dot com - and I'll be happy to correct this post.

I have krups xp7245. It just happened today after 2 yrs daily use.

These coffeemakers are not the easiest to work on, contact Krups and locate an authorised service agent in your area and run the fault by them, they will likely need to open it up to properly quote you. There are lots and lots of potential problems inside one of those machines. If you wish to look at yourself you are going to have to remove the top, sides and back covers. Side & back is one part. Even when you have it all exposed to not expect the fault to be immediately obvious, I have covers with cutouts so I can run it and look inside at the same time.
