You can just removed the water tank filter (the cylinder inside the water tank) and washed it up. (Actually the filter should probably be replaced). Fix it back in the water tank and tide it safety upon the exit ring.

Don't forget to unplug the machine BEFORE doing this.
Next, restart the machine and let it perform the automatic self testing.

Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, but no heating on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I've mastered this machine. The KM7005 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Setting timer to start the brewing of coffee

First, press the PROG button. Now it's in PROGRAM mode. While the light is flashing, use the HOUR and MINUTES button to set the time you want the machine to fire up and start brewing. When you're done, just press no buttons for a few seconds till the light stops flashing. That ends program mode, and you're all set.

Krups KM7005 coffeemaker/grinder does not heat or drip the water

The heating plate is actually your hot water heater for the unit and it has most likely failed. The water flows through the heating plate and heats the water for brewing. Krups replaced my whole coffee brewer.

A Krups KM7005 coffee maker/grinder doesn't heat or drip water .

Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, grinding works fine, but no heat on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I mastered this machine. The KM7005 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. To date, I have helped 13 people on this site fix this exact problem.

I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Write me at [email protected].
