I have hooked my turntable

Hi, Remove the rubber mat on the platter, there is a toggle-switch for the pre-amp. With the power off, manually rotate the platter and it will become visible through the gaps. This should resolve the low volume issue. Hope this helps. Post back with your results and good luck.

Need a new stylus for

Assuming it is the original ATN-3600 cartridge, a simple web search for "sony ps-lx250h replacement stylus" or "atn3600 stylus" locates some.

If the cartridge is something different you should search for that model's stylus, not one for the TT itself.

SONY PS-LX56P turntable sounding very

Not knowing the electronics I'd imagine a close listen would reveal it's actually tinny as well as quiet. You probably need a Phono Preamp (Google it).

"PHONO" is the only designated connection on an audio device that is literal and exclusive. Nothing but PHONO will work right on it and old-school turntables would require it to preamplify the tiny current produced by a Phono cartridge.

If your unit doesn't have a PHONO connection AND your TT doesn't have a self-contained preamp you will have to get a Phono Preamp to connect between the TT and any Line Level input, like Aux.

eBay always has some...

The rubber band fell off

Normally the belt does not go through any special tensioners or anything of that nature,The belt should go directly from the spindle motor onto the inside of the platter. Hook the belt on the motor section and lay the belt open wide inside the turntable. Next, replace the platter and manouvre the belt onto the platter inside, through the two large holes

Sony LX 250 H turntable

Hello
The main reason for tone arm skips, skates, or does not advance are:

[1] The turntable is not level. Place the turntable on a level surface..
[2] The record is dirty or scratched. Clean the record with record cleaning kit.
Check these. there is no other reason for the instablity of tone arm. OK.

My Sony PS-LX250H Turntable suddenly started

If this is a belt drive then most of these speed increases are caused by the belt being in the wrong position. The belt could be faulty and my need to be replaced. Otherwise it could be due to a power supply problem, such as a faulty regulator to the supply of the motor. A check on the voltage to the motor will determine this. Assuming you know what the correct voltage should be! Of course with luck it will be higher than the motor is supposed to run at.

Hello

Check whether the drive belt is in position. If it has slipped out of the motor pulley, turn table won't turn when you push start button. Mke sure that power chord is connected firmly and the power does comes to the player. If drive belt is deteriorated replace it.
There is no other special faults to occur to the player. You have the manual and refer to its fittings. OK.
