Sony PS-LX250H Turntable - Page 9 Questions & Answers
Turntable swingarm skips to last song
Most likely your stylus (needle) is bent, broken or missing. Check to see if it's there or not. If it's broken or damaged, you will need to replace it. Under the cartridge, you should see a small arm that has the actual diamond on the end of it. If the arm is there, but the diamond is missing off the end, the arm won't stay in the groove and will instead skip across the record to the middle.
Drive belt on Sony turntable
Usually, for most turntables, the belt goes on the bottom of the
platter first. Then you put the platter back on the turntable. From
here you should see an opening on the platter where you can 'grab' the
belt. Pinch the belt, and then wrap it around the rotating motor's
shaft. This is usually at the top left side - around the 10 o'clock
position.

Vestax o5 pro mixer channel 2 not working
Doe you get sound in from the headphones? If so, then the issue might be the volume fader for that specific channel.
If not, then the issue might be the input connections or input pc board the connections are soldered on to.
The fader can be self replaced, although complete disassembly of your unit is required. Not a hard task, but there are alot of jumper cables, and you have to be careful when putting her back together.
If it's the latter, then I would suggest taking it to a service center for repair.

SONY TURNTABLE PSLX22
You have to make sure your unit is connected to the PHONO INPUT connection on your receiver. If your receiver does not have a PHONO INPUT connection, then you will need to buy what's called a PHONO PRE-AMP -
AVAILABLE HERE.
You connect the turntable to the Phono Pre-Amp, then you connect the Pre-Amp to the LINE IN or AUX IN of your receiver.

I want to copy some records on CDR but the sound is too low. Can someone help?
If you have and amplifier or reciever you can frist plug your turntable into the amp or rec. and then to your sony CD recorder and then you should be able to adjust your volume to a higher position, also you can hook up and Equalizer and get the needle sound completely out unless your old school and like that LOL. There is also another way to save and make copies of all your old and new records By using the computer and getting a good sound card for your computer unless you have a good one or even buy a expansion bay with remote control made also by sony you can digatally remake all of you albums, Well sorry to go on and on but I am really into doing the same thing , If you need anymore help Please Let Me know Thanks again bear001
Belt Replacement?
ahh! same thing happened to me during a move. quite frustrating, but a simple fix:
remove the plate and look at the underside. here you'll see a ring around it, place the belt around that ring. there are 5 holes total, one small in the center, two larger ones to the side, and two rectangular ones on the edge.
as you're putting the plate back onto the player, grab the belt through one of the rectangular holes and place that part of the belt around the cylindrical moving post to the upper left the same time as you put the plate back in place.
it sounds confusing, but it's simple, i swear. let me know if i can clarify anything for you.
Does not turn on
Have you checked to see if the motor at least turns. The motor is where the belt wraps around and causes it to turn. If you have absolutely no power, then your transformer might have shorted, and will need to be replaced. Most transformers are generic, so as long as it is the correct size, and rating, you'll be fine.

does the plastic mat lift up? if so there should be a hole where it can be slipped back on , if it fell off more than likely you will need to replace it and the table should pop off by lifting it up.
Turntable ps-x55 / arm want move stay in lock mode
Hi,
I have the exact same problem with my TT - a PS-X55. It appears that the motor has failed. Too bad, as I was told the replacement motor part is no longer stocked by Sony. For what it's worth - the part number is 154116500.
Let me know if you manage to find some who has the exact part stocked.
Speed
The motor for the unit might be dying out. There really aren't any other factors that control the speed/rpm of these belt driven models. So if the belt didn't do the trick, you will have to take it to a service center to test the motor.
Sony PS-LX250H turntable won't turn
check the switch that make the lp running located it on the arm (arm uses to put it on the LP)
check the motor
Make sure no debris whatsoever that can disrupt the LP to turn
Record speed
I think its a 3 prong IC chip that might be burned out. Its next to the power supply. You'll need to take it apart to see the replacement number on the chip. This is a belt drive unit, you can take the platter (the turntable itself) off and check inside. You can download the manual here: http://www.docs.sony.com/release/PSLX250Hrevision.pdf
I hope this helps. Good luck :)
