Sony PS-LX250H Turntable - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Turntable will not turn
I have the same problem with one I just got, wont do anything, no power. I have the P-320 it's a nice turntable if it would work.
A part came off and dont know where it belongs
You will need to lift felt on the platter section exposing the platter. Next you will need to pull upwards on the platter itself. The rubber band goes around the inside of the platter and onto the spindle motor. To replace, simply lift platter section of the unit, place the belt around the inside of the platter and replace the platter. Move the platter around till you see the motor and use some tweesers to pull the belt over the motor. Hope this helps
How to adjust speed from underneath
If it is one of those turntables with the speed pre-sets on the underside, yes it is tricky to do. What I do is get one of those chairs where the seat pops out just leaving the frame. I mount the deck on the chair and thus having access to the pre-set while the deck plays. The only other way is to do it one small turn a time, turning it over then back to play while testing each time. But it's a very slow method!! If you haven't go a chair with a seat that removes, you could try constructing something out of boxes or something, which would be quicker than the other method.
Needle Won't Stay Down
Hi, sounds like the automatic function has gone out of time. With the record player powered of spin the platter manually appox 12 times to reset. Cheers john. Stylus City
Sony PS-LX500 Linear tracking turntable
I think it's kind of cheap to ask someone to pay $10 for an answer to one question. Sheesh!
I haven't gotten the answer yet, but a local stereo store pointed me in the right direction. Thanks anyway.

Tom
