First try the oven in an other outlet in the house, (it could be the house's circuit braker), and yes ther ar some fuses inside but you need to open the unit to reach them, (usually small germain type ceramic fuses) if you have electronic skills you can do this your self but remember to always unplug the power before opening the applyance to prevent all risk of electrical shoks...

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Unplug the microwave and plug it back after 15-30 minutes, now hold the CLEAR/OFF button for 30 seconds. If the problem is still there then it means that the door switch-lock assembly is bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

If it is completely dead, no light, motor or keypad, it's probally a blown line fuse. Open up the cabinet and you should be able to find a fuse near the power cord. An appliance supply house should be able to get you a replacement.

no this is the magnetron do not plug the unit in or turn the unit on or you will be seeing alot more then pretty lights this has become a fire hazard and it would be up to you on replaceing the magnetron in your unit preferably consider the cost of the unit compared to the cost of the magnetron they usually run over 100.00 just for the piece if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations Thanks Rick

See page 35 of the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for detailed instructions and illustrations on how to change the light bulb in your model (JVM 3670).

Basically you first disconnect the power cord.
Then remove the screw on the left edge of the light bulb cover and push on the right edge of the cover to open it.
The light bulb cover itself is located on the underside of the unit.
Then remove the bulb by pulling it straight out.
Replace with an exact match (20 Watt Halogen bulb - WB36X10213) available from your GE dealer.
Then close light cover, replace screw, and plug in power cord.

Sounds more like your controller is going bad. The unit would not heat at all if the magnetron was bad.
99% sure your controller is going bad.
Better to purchase a new one than replace.
G.E. microwaves are known for controls going bad and if it isn't the controller it will be the magnetron.
New units are cheap. 4200.00 it would cost at least $150.00 to repair if a technician replaced it. I would never advise a DIYer doing repair on microwaves. They hold a lethal charge even when power has been disconnected.

It sounds like the magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT

This is a job for a professional but if you are safety clued up, here's instruction.
Make sure the !!!!any capacitors are discharged!!!!! before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8 or moving coil meter on high resistance range for short circuit, (DVM's won't show the fault!), the capacitor can fail and go short circuit, the feed fuse on the primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the magnetron is best checked by substitution.
