Do you have another screen attached? This will cause this trouble. If not, if you look closely at the screen, can you see an image? You might be able to shine a light into the screen and see an image. If so, sounds like the inverter is or has died. Try tapping the bottom plastic on the screen when the laptop is on and see if it flickers. If it does perhaps it is a loose connection/solder joint on the inverter board.

If you are reformatting to overcome a disk trouble, you need to find a startup system floppy or CD. You should be able to download or even create such a disk. The specifics are widely available on the WWW. Google startup disk and follow the instructions. While the process is simple, it is more than I can get into here.

There are several models of this notebook depending on the processor. Some only have one fan, otehrshave two. When operating the fan should start running. I have the higher spec R3000 and my fans start soon after the machine is turned on and sometimes throttle down if I have no activity. Upon starting to use it, they soon start again. Considerable hot air will come out the right back and side.

DO NOT block the air intake(s) on the bottom of the unit !!! You can burn up the processor.

Good day sir/maam, your LCD's inverter or back light lamp needs to be checked. I suggest you bring it to your dealer for service. If you can do it, you may need to buy first the inverter, make sure its your laptop's model. still not working replace the lamp. hope this helps

Disconnect all devices from the power supply EXCEPT the motherboard
Remove any extra cards including video etc.(plug monitor into the onboard)

If you hear any beeps these can indictate where the fault is.

Power up the pc and see if the fans are working.
If not then double check the power connections to the board.

If you still have no fans it is time to suspect the power supply as the probable cause.

If the fans worked then you should have gotten a display which told you there was an error and offering you a chance to go into the BIOS. ignore it and shut down the PC.

Now connect one drive only and boot again.

Repeat that until you identify the component that is giving you a problem.

Once you find the problem then remove or disconnect and carry on with the rest to see if another component might also cause a problem

If there is only one problem device then you may want to investigate that device further, Unless you don't mind replacing it
　

Dear Sir,

V3000 is not compirtbale for Xp its only for Vista OS. There is no solutions for Xp. If you will exact driver for sound driver and UAA then it clould be solved.

No disrespect but it is apparent that you do not posess the required skilss to perform a BIOS upgrade.

Even with a step by step guide it would be easy to brick your BIOS and leave your Lappy unusable.

If I were you I would pay a professional to do it.

My Wii did this to me.
try resetting the AC adapter
To do this unplug everything from the Wii. Then unplug the AC adapter from the Wii and the wall. Wait about 1 minute then plug everything back in.

Try reseating the RAM (unscrew plastic covers on the bottom to find it), or if that doesn't work, try new RAM.

Try upgrading your Bios first, also make sure that the memory that you ar putting in your Laptop is type PC-2700. Other than this, I know that this comptuer has a 2G limit and should have no problem with it.

This is not fatal, If your hear some beeps on it then tell us how many, then the Plug in Play I/O Cards are not connected properly like memory module, but if not then the rest or motherboard is defective or bad.

there should be a sticker on the bottom of the laptop that has your product code on it.

Assuming you have the proper cable (S-video?) and made the proper connections on the TV,
check the ATI video display settings.

To turn on a video device, use one of the following methods: 1. Select Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Display > Settings. 2. Select the Advanced button. 3. Select the ATI Displays tab and select the TV Power

I Can Fix It

Either the power supply is putting out too low voltage or the power jack is bad.Try moving the ac adapter tip around while its starting up to see if it keeps it running or shuts it off.If it makes no difference try another ac adapter that does work for sure and see if thats the problem.If neither approach works,then the HDD may be seizing or one of the ram sticks may be bad.Some sort of hardware conflict can cause shut downs.You would have to take the bootstrap approach to narrow it down to one pacific component.

let it sit for awhile. then try to power it on. if it powers up and then suts off again, the processor fan is probably bad and needs to be replaced.

is this happening with the AC adaptor connected?
Connect the AC if it still is exibiting the same chariteristics Charging system needs to be addressed. If not then your batteries are weakening!
