I have read both of the above posts.
On the first post, the 'codes' are the date codes. Both parts were manufactured in 2007, and will have no bearing on performance, should both lots not be the same as they were manufactured on different weeks.
On the second post:
There is allot of misinformation on the web pertaining to the applications of STK394-160(E)'s.
This special device was manufactured by Sanyo exclusively for Hitachi PTV's. They will not work in any other projection TV's except for Hitachi. Let me say this again, "They will not work in any other projection TV's except for Hitachi." The 'E' suffix is the nomenclature for PB Free or lead free. All STK394-160's were manufactured as 'lead free'. The 'E' will not appear on the part. Here's more information:
For Hitachi PTV's ( Projection TV's ), STK392-150 replaces STK392-110. STK392-120 should be replaced with STK392-120 or STK394-160's in matched pairs. The -120's are 4 amp devices while both the -110's and -150's are 3 amp. We market replacement kits for -110's that contain two original Sanyo STK392-150's and the associated resistors along with solder and resistor designations for all models. We also have an STK394-160 Kit, along with solder and resistor designations for all models.
