Hello. I need you to explain me why you decided to replace STK's (convergence IC's). I need to know if TV was able to stay on but image wasn't converged or TV was shutting down with the same blinking pattern.
Also you said that TV is turning on right now but shuts off. Do you see any picture on the screen in those couple of seconds?
And last but not least - do you have any experience working with electronic components?
I would be more of help after you will answer these questions, sir.
Regards.

What is a convergence amplifier

The convergence amplifier is a three channel Integrated circuit which controls the convergence alignment of the three picture tubes in a rear projection TV. Your convergence amps are STK392-110 there are two of them also check the six 2.2 ohm 2watt resistors

You always need to include all of the model numbers involved in your question.
If you are trying to use your Panasonic remote for the DVD player, the remote may not contain the necessary code-set if there is any measurable difference in age between the remote and the player since devices made later cannot be considered in any remote, regardless of whether it is a 'universal' remote or not. Unfortunately, there is no consistency between models even within one manufacturer's products and none at all between devices made several years apart.
Even the later 'learning' remotes refuse to learn from all others.

Turns off

Your symptom sounds like a damaged convergence IC.

If this is the case the power LED should be blinking 3 times when trying to power the set up.

You should be able to get a local service center to repair this at
your house for between $350.00 - $450.00, If you want to repair this set yourself, I have some instructions below that will be a help to you.
While it is not a very hard repair, this repair can be a bit tricky. If you have a 45W soldering iron, solder, solder wick, and
heat sink compound you can repair it yourself.

When you remove the old IC's, please be sure to remove all of the old
heat sink compound, as it can act as an insulation for the new IC's and cause them to overheat. I usually clean the heat sinks with alcohol and a small rag.

There are two and large IC’s that control the convergence in a big screen set. Some of the newer sets only have one. If you only have one, it is right in the middle of the set on the center
circuit board. They are secured to a very large aluminum heat sink. They will have a part number stamped on them that will start with an STKXXX-XXX, like STK392-110.

Along with the convergence IC’s there will also be some associated components that will need to be replaced as well. There are some resistors that are part of the convergence circuit that will be open and need to be replaced. Most likely these will appear charred in the center. If you have an Ohm Meter or a DVM, check all the resistors that are close to the IC’s and you should be looking for either ones that have opened or have changed values.

If one of the convergence IC’s are found to be bad, I would replace them both, if one has gone bad the other may go soon. I usually order my parts from Andrews
Electronics in California, they will have the OEM components that you will need.
Their site is
http://www.andrewselectronics.com/welcome.aspx
And their
phone number is a 24-Hour Order Desk: (800) 274-4666
I recommend the
phone order so you can talk to the person about the different types of IC’s that are available.

I would also advise that the convergence IC’s be OEM or better, just because they are cheap does not mean that they are a
good deal. I have seen the cheap IC’s fail after a short time, even though they look exactly like the OEM IC’s. I think that the bottom line is that you will get what you pay for when it comes to the parts.

You can also try
http://www.tvrepairkits.com/ , I have not tried them yet, but they do carry OEM or better parts.

I hope this
information allows you to resolve this issue.
If you need further assistance please comment to this post and I will try to help you further.

Go into your menu and try resetting the factory defaults. That should help. If not, you probably have a hardware issue.

Tv looks blurry on the right side

You will also find there is colour disorientation in these areas. The reason is that your settings on the york had shifted, also it could be due to failure of the degaussing coil, or if there is any fault with the convergence inside the picture tube which could be a major fault.
Try to degauss, see the picture tube neck for any ring magnets out of alignment, also check the focussing in the rear panel which could have shifted.

There is a possibility that the screen voltage preset or the Resistor givng the screen voltage had failed. You can get a confirmation by increasing the screen voltage and provided it does not come down you can leave it as it is. Also the failure of the capacitor in the screen voltage circuit( normally 22mf/250V) could also result in the same fault. be sure to be familiar to investigate or else get professional help to change these part. it is not a serious fault anyway.Unless you have used your set in very high contrast there is no reason for the picture tube to be weak.

I own Panasonic Cinemavision projection

The digital tuner depends on where you want your programming to come from. Most common sources are a cable company, or a satelite company. In these cases they will provide the box for you to get HD. One common misconception about digital is that it is HD, but that is not necessarily true. All HD is digital, but not all digital is HD. Just like a DVD is digital, it will provide clear picture and sound, but you need to make sure you specify you want an HD box and not just a digital box. Typical providers are DirectTV, Dish Network (both satelite) or Cox Cable, Comcast, etc (cable). Your area may have different companies, usually cable is best in the city, satelite if you're out in the country.

Another source for HD programming is antenna or internet. These are less common sources, but are gaining in popularity. The broadcast networks have switched to digital in the last couple years, and in a lot of cases to HD. With just an antenna "rabbit ears" you can get an HD signal of your local stations and its an excellent picture. Both antenna and internet are where I get my programming from, it saves me tons of money, but is a bit more complicated:

Antenna - usually you will need a good signal to get digital antenna and you will need a box (your panansonic doesn't have an HDTV (atsc) tuner) and you will need an antenna preferably on the roof or in the attic. This will give you solid signal and excellent picture, but the box costs about $100 or more, and the antenna can run you $50 or more, especially w installation. You can get a digital antenna box (non-hd) for about $30 minimum and get some local stations off your old rabbit ears, but it all depends on reception (how close you are to towers, where your antenna is inside the house).

Internet - a growing trend in watching tv... you can get watch tv shows and movies through Netflix or other websites like www.hulu.com on the internet. you can also watch many other stations www.abc.com, www.nbc.com, etc
to use internet as a programming source, you need a computer or Netflix capable device hooked up. We use a Playstation 3 to stream Netflix to my HDTV, and it costs us $9 a month for Netflix, and then our high speed internet bill. You can also stream non-hd on a wii, hd on an xbox, or you can use a Roku player or capable Blu-ray player to stream (i believe they can all do HD). To achieve HD streaming, you need atleast about 5 megabit internet. Go to www.speedtest.net to find out how fast your internet is. This can be complicated, but you can save a lot of $$..

As you can see, I could probably write a book on the topic.. but hopefully this helps a bit. Let me know what specific questions you have, if any, and I can help steer you in the right direction.

Here is a link for a HDTV antenna tuner for less than $100

This kind of symptom appears if convergence out chips got shorted out and protection circuit kicks in instantly to avoid any possible damage in deflection and/or power supply section of tv.
Please check convergence out ICs that could be defective and cause of this problem.
Hope these info will help you.
