GE Profile JTP18 Electric Single Oven - Page 4 Questions & Answers
WANT TO CHANGE COLOR OF GE PROFILE WALL OVEN.....
I'm in the same situation. I've done a little research and found that the oven door can be changed out rather easily. If you have your Model # and Serial #, located on the inside bottom left corner, you can call GE (1-877-959-8688) and ask if there is a replacement door in the color you would like available for your model. I haven't contacted GE yet, but plan to do so tomorrow to find out if there is a stainless replacement door for my model (and how much it will cost). Hope this helps...good luck!

Oven fan keeps running even after off and door open
3 to 4 hours is a long time. Get to the fans (behind the control panel) and check the screens for dust. Chances are the screens are clogged with dust and need to be cleaned so the fans can move air for cooling better. I had this problem on my GE JTP14, and after cleaning just one fan it can keep up with cooling the electronic area while the oven is running. It runs much less often.
Safety first! cut the breaker before removing anything with a nice conductive screwdriver! Hope this helps!
When attempting to turn the oven on, I press
Hi
F2 Error indicates
a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is
bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it
should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door
appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should
be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

How to remove the touchpad
On most GE ovens you open the door and across the bottom of the control panel there are 3 1/4 inch screws, one in the center and 2 on either end going straight up into the console. remove the screws and slide the control panel up then out to you. Thats how you do it.

"Door Locked" flashing on GE Oven JTP15 - can't unlock
The problem may very well be in one of the micro switches on the self cleaning motor bracket. These switches control the electrical flow to the heating elements. In the owners manual there is/should be a chart that lists the unlock and safety combinations. This would be your best source of information.
I used the oven in
Yes, the program and thermostat calls for the fan to cool the electronics, without that you can loose the electronic boards. Normally the fans will shut off once temps drop to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Enjoy your new home. I’m happy to help further over the phone at

The loc on light comes
The LOC light indicates the front panel lock is on. This keeps you from starting the oven when cleaning the panel; it also keeps children from turning on the oven. To disable the lock, press and hold Bake and Broil Hi/Lo together for 2+ seconds until SF appears on the display. Then press Self Clean. Then press Start to exit the Special Functions menu.
GE appliance manuals are available from their site. Go to
http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ and enter the model number of the appliance. Then click Search.
I hope this helps.
