If the seller won't accept a return or provide a PIN code - I'd be willing to bet you dollars for donuts that you bought a stolen GPS. I'd take this up with PayPal if you used them for the purchase and / or eBay.

My navigon 3310 max freezes

GPS SYSTEMS HAVE A TENDENCY TO LOSE CONNECTIVITY TO SATILLITES BECAUSE OF BAD WEATHER, CLOUD COVER, TUNNEL ENTRANCE, BAD OR NO POWER, BATTERY LIFE HAS BEEN EXPENDED, HAZARD OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE TO GPS SYSTEMS, AND IMPROPER VEHICLE MOUNTING AND HAND HELD POSITION. FREE SOLUTIONS 1. ALWAYS PLACE YOUR GPS DEVICE IN THE UPPERMOST PORTION OF YOUR VEHICLE SO THAT THE GPS SIGNAL MAY EASILY LOCATE YOUR DEVICE EVEN WHEN THE WEATHER IS BAD 2. KEEP YOUR BATTERY CHARGED ONLY WHEN IT NEEDS IT MOST AND AVOID CHARGING OFTEN 3. IF YOU OVERCHARGE YOUR GPS DEVICE, YOU WILL EXPERIENCE BATTERY LEAKAGE, WHICH CAN EAT AWAY AT YOUR CLOTHING, DESTROY YOUR DEVICE IN SECONDS, AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE SEATS 4. YOUR GPS DEVICE HAS A TENDENCY TO FREEZE BECAUSE OF THE SIM AND MEMORY CHIPS LOCATED WITHIN IT 5. YOU CAN FIX THE FREEZING PROBLEM BY REMOVING THE SIM CHIP AND MEMORY CHIP AND RESTARTING YOUR SYSTEM 6. OTHER FREEZE PROBLEMS OCCUR BECAUSE THE DEVICE IS COLD WHEN IT IS KEPT IN THE VEHICLE AND CHIP CREEK OCCURS WHERE THE DEVICES MICROCHIPS BECOME LOOSE AND TIGHTEND BECAUSE OF WARM AND COLDER AIR FLUCTUATIONS. IT IS BEST TO KEEP THE DEVICE IN A PURSE OR ON A TABLE WHERE IT IS NOT SUBJECT TO CONSTANT TEMP. CHANGE 7. PREVENTION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE IS BEST SOLVED BY: interference from devices located nearby, and even a radio turned on and located really close to your unit. This is normally known as electromagnetic interference to electronics and is very common

When I select city and

you must put only what the GPS asks for. For example. It will want the city first. So you just put the city name. Once you find it and select it, it will ask for street address. Now you only put the street name, and NOT the house number.

Often times people try to put the house number in along with the street, such as, 123 anystreet. When you should only put the street name, "anystreet".

After you put in the street name, and it comes up, and you select it, it will then ask for the house number. That is when you will put in the house number.

Just remember, it only takes one word or number at a time. It will ask for each part of the address separately.

When I try to enter

Hello. Begin by pushing the reset button. Generally the reset is under the thin frame around the screen. You should be able to lift the frame with your fingernail. Just do it gently as the frame is usually quite delicate. If pushing the reset button does not solve it your problem you will have to send it in to the manufacturer for a repair as there is no owner repair for this problem. Regards, Joe

Connect your unit up to the PC and run Garmin's webupdater program. It will scan your unit and tell you what updates are available and if you deleted a file, it will allow you to re-download it. You can find the program here: http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27
