If you turn it off and then turn it on it should work. If it so frozen that you can't turn it off, Then unplug it from the power source the so it has to turn off. Then wait an hour or so and then turn it on. Kinda like rebooting a coumputer

Usually it doesn't pay to have a screen replaced on a GPS as its cheaper to buy a new unit.

I would suggest that you try and sell it on ebay as their are people who have good screens but bad electronics or you might find a screen for your unit.

this message means you have something corrupting the software (missing file etc.), go to the link below and email support at the link, it is on the right at bottom, they can direct you as what has to be done to correct this problem, calling them is a waste of time, just email.

I have been getting posting after posting about the fact that GPS's of all ,makes are having difficulty picking up the satellite signals, these satellites that your GPS and every GPS uses are US government military satellite's, they are subject to problems with there electronics like all things electronic, the Government doesn't let the public public know if there is a problem, the other factor is weather, it can affect satellite reception, it takes 4 satellites in space to allow your GPS to work, until it gets at least 4 signals it can't do it's job of locating where u are on the surface of the planet, my advice is wait and see if the GPS works in a few weeks, if it continues to not acquire the satellite's then u have a problem and it will need factory service to repair it.

your maps are not set up correctly. The unit expects to find thed data in a specific place and that place is empty or does not exist

You probably are just in a bad location where satellites are not reachable. All these units work from the same satellites and recieve them the same so it wouldn't matter what brand you have. I highly doubt that the powerlines and cell towers are effecting the transmission.

Make sure the sd card is seated properly.

All u get is what is called a quick start manual, was this a sealed box?

remove back cover and disconnect battery.

5. Go to the menu bar at the top window border and click on
"My Navigon Device" and "Restore Device".

6. If NAVIGON Fresh does not recognize your device, please contact the
service center.

7. Follow the instructions and choose the device which you want to restore.

8. When the wizard has lead you through all the steps, click "next" to
begin the device restore.

9. As soon as the device restore has successfully finished, check for
updates for your device and install them.

Car gps's don't typically have this feature but if you list the model you have I could tell you easily

what brand name is it ? if it is Garmin then there should be a button on the back of it or bottom it is small just hold it for a few seconds then it should reset it all. hope it works
