Examine the gearbox; it can be the cause of the issue.
Examine it for damage, such as stripped gears or worn-out bearings, and repair it if required. Examine the clutch assembly: The clutch assembly engages and disengages the transmission and drive motor.
Check to see if the clutch assembly is in good condition and not worn out. Examine the drive belt: The drive belt turns the drum and links the motor to the transmission.
Verify that the drive belt is not slack, worn out, or damaged.
Check the tub bearings: The washer's drum is supported by the tub bearings.
The gear system may malfunction if the tub bearings are worn out. Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above solutions work, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer for further assistance. They can provide more detailed troubleshooting steps or recommend a service professional to diagnose the problem.
Hi, Your Troy-Bilt has a sealed for life transaxle and requires no service. However, there have been some issues with the CVT clutch assembly bushings. Since there are no lubrication points, if the unit will not reach top speed or changes speeds abruptly, the first thing to inspect is the drive belt wear and tensioners. If the belt is in good condition then the bushings, and/or the clutch assembly will need to be replaced. I hope this helps and feel free to reply back if you need further assistance. Here is a link to the transaxle and clutch assembly;
Remember this,there is a belt diagram under the left foot rest. It will show you how the belt is rigged onto the pulleys. In changing this belt you will have to pull the clutch assembly,from beneath the motor. Only one bolt holds this assembly to the motor's vertical shaft.Once removed,install the belt onto the pulleys. Then slip the belt onto the clutch assembly's pulley and lift straight up,align the key way with the key and slip on the clutch assembly and replace the bolt.Torque down the bolt,i can't remember the torque pounds,but i believe it's 100-200 lbs. of torque.B.
