Louder exhaust, increase the performance???

Hi, I've bought the Qlink Legacy 250 2009 last month. And decided to modify the exhaust to get the louder sound. Found out the baffle is tough to be removed. manufacture welds all together. They run the pipe from the engine to the baffle and make a U-turn back out to the tip. The tech cut of the small pipe before it runs to the baffle. Now it sounds loud but something weird that I have to warm up the engine for 5 mins before I can run. Before that, when I try to gas up, it will turn off the engine or won't run.

I've heard from CBXman.com that they sell the performance Kit for this MC. They suggest atleast also replace The carb and air box to increase the power.

Also I don't know where to get the accessories for this MC. Like bolt, bolt caps...etc...

Any advice, info would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Vanessa.

As your explaining, I guess that'd be normal then. I plan to have the tech custom a new exhaust instead. I have another question. Can you replace the cab and air filter your self? they suggest it must be done by qualified tech. Is it difficult to do? I'm looking to download a free SERVICE MANUAL but couldn't. It's for sale around $40.

BTW, where is the CHOKE located? I should to the same but don't know where?

    Thanks!
    -V

late answer. choke is on the handle bars. Air box and carb are easy to replace. as for the manual is 70 bucks. i suggest google proformance parts. Amazon and ebay are the cheapest.

Once you remove the baffles, you remove a certain amount of back pressure and this will cause you to have to let you warm up your MC until it is at working operating temperature. Also by changing your carb and air box will giive you more power but it will stay be a few minutes to warm up. I have to do it with mine and it is bad if you need to run right away then keep the throttle on a little more then normal. Or sometimes I will leave me choke on

Yes you can replace the parts yourself. IT is easy to do. The worst can be to have your throttle and air mixture correct but it should come in running condition from the factory then it will explain how to adjust the carb from there easy to do. You choke is in the throttle. Basically before you start the bike, give it a handle full then release the throttle then start the bike. You have a automatic choke which should stay open until the bike it warm enough to run. The problem is that with the exhaust it will make it think it is running to hard. That is the worst part of it other then that remember this, "Loud Exhaust, Saves Lives" Or "Loud bikes, saves lives"

I have a ex 250 ninja i want to make it a little louder how can i do it

I am assuming you have the stock exhaust you want more noise or actual increase in power, you can buy an after market performance system just check online there are plenty of systems out there for you to choose from they make more noise and increase performance.
