Yes, jack the car up so there is no weight on the tire. Now grab the tire on top and bottom and shake. If there is movement, your wheel bearing needs replacing. Let us know if you want to try replacing it yourself.

I have an O2 Dodge ram 15102 Wheel Dr., how can I tell if a bearing is going bad in one of my wheels?

You have to jack the vehicle off the ground, then grab each tire at the 12:00 and 6:00 positions. Then as hard as you can try to wiggle the tire up and down. If there is any movement then that wheel bearing needs to be replaced.

When Im driving my 2001 Cadillac deville on the highway at 55mph and up, if the hwy starts to curve to the left the car starts shaking. But once the hwy straightens back up, the shaking stops. Why is that?

Could be a bad wheel bearing. This is very dangerous, be sure and get it checked out asap. If the wheel comes off you're going to have a very bad day!

97 dodge neon, 2.0 sohc. i am have a vibration in passenger front tire. comes and goes. i mainly feel it when i come to a stop and taking turns. the tire is fine, so what could it be?

Make sure your lugs are tightened down all the way. Also, be sure that even though they are tight, the wheel is put on straight. I would check your bearings as well, just to be sure it isn't something more serious.

When driving our 2006 kia the car is really wobbly/rough we removed the front tires and it makes the same noise and vibration as with the wheels on - there is a slight where in the front passenger tire -...

To check how tight the front end is, place a jack under the lower arm of each front tire( make sur the car is secure and won't roll) and lift so tires are free of ground. Grasp the tires and try to turn them left and right. There should be minnimal movement. Check the steering components to see where the slack is, if any. If the seeering is tight have the tires checked for balance.

Rough and noisy ride with 16 inch Nokian Wr tires on 04 focus

Almost any 60 series 15" tire will ride better than a 60 series 16" or lower. Rule of thumb: as the sidewall gets lower the ride gets worse, but handling is better. Living room couch or NASCAR....you decide
