SOURCE: 2005 chrysler sebring..car starts then dies...gas

sorry to ask a question that may sound stupid but, are you using the main ignition key. my car came with 2 keys that seem identical except that the part of the key that you hold when turning is different. one is thick and grey the other is thinner and black. the grey one works to drive the car the black one only starts it but then the car dies as soon as i take it out of park. the black key is just a spare for the doors.. it is lacking the microchip that sends a signal to the engine that it is genuine and should start the engine.

1998 Chrysler Sebring sputtered then died won't start back up... Fuel pump gone out possibly?

Very possible.
You can check fuel pressure with a gauge. The pump should run for 3-5 seconds when you turn the key on.

I have a 2008 Chrysler sebring convertible, for the past 4 days the car has been having trouble starting. Just Friday, I left the car in park running for about 2 minutes, came out and the car had die

sounds like a fuel pump . next time the car shuts off on you have someone turn the key just to the on position (not to start the car) and you listen back by the gas tank for a humming noise . if you do not here this it is most likely your fuel pump . if you do here it humming I would change your fuel filter .
