CHECK ENGINE LIGHT JUST CAME ON. SO, HOW CAN I TELL IF MY A/F SENSOR IS BAD ON MY 2001 TOYOTA TACOMA? IT IS PULLING UP CODE P1135 BUT, IS THERE A WAY TO CHECK THE SENSOR ITSELF TO SEE IF IT IS BAD? THAT'S...

the code refers to the air/fuel sensor--heater circuit response, bank 1 sensor 1
That indicates that the HO2S( heated oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold bank 1) is faulty --possible wiring problem or sensor failure

How do I find out if my ecu is bad. I keep getting an oxygen sensor code and I have replaced the sensor and cleared the code but continue to have the check engine light come back on?

Make sure the check engine light was cleared after you replaced the o2 sensor....if the codes were not cleared then it will come on forever even if thetre is no problem

Toyota tacoma 2003 check engine light is

If the car still runs then the problem is not major but may develop into one if unchecked. The sensors in the engine may have detected problems and should be stored in its ECU. If you have a scanner have it connected to the diagnostics it should give you a clue on what to check out.

My 1996 tacoma wont pass emmisions because the computer says that it is "not ready" for the test this normally happens after the battery has been removed but my battery has not been touched I've taken it...

Is the engine cold? It will say that if the Oxygen sensors aren't warm yet. Try driving it for 10-15 miles before you have it inspected. If that doesn't work the heating elements might be bad in the sensor and you will have to replace the Oxygen sensors

O2 Sensors

Autozone oxygen sensors do not function properly in Toyota vehicles. Just had a Tacoma yesterday with the same issue. New sensors, runs poor, check engine light on. Toyota sensors fixed it right now.
