The steering wheel gets stiff, because the car died and your power steering pump is stopped. beeing a 1994, you may have a fuel pump issue (nissan had campaign on those), but most likely no longer available to you, because of the age of the car. they purge campaigns out as years go on. you could have an issue with distributor. oil leaks pass the seal and gets inside of the distributor assembly on the signal plate (internal component of distribitor) and messes with the ignition system/spark plugs. you may also have a broken intake gasket. When was the last time you did a tune up?? changed plugs, fuel filter and so on???

My Subaru is making a jerking feeling

What year? What model? Jerking... when? Where do you feel the jerk? Do you have a "Check Engine" light on the dash?

You may have just lost a front axle. The rubber boot around the CV joint cracks, and dirt gets in and ruins the CV joint. This shows up as a sideways jerking in the steering wheel, rapidly getting worse and worse. It feels dangerous, and it IS dangerous. If it\'s allowed to continue, it could break the axle shaft - you certainly don\'t want that to happen on the highway.

If you\'re NOT talking about a sideways jerking in the steering wheel, please desribe what you DO feel, and when it happens, and if your "Check Engine" light comes on. It might possibly be nothing more serious than your air conditioner turning on & off.

2003 Passat 1.8T steering jerks while driving

check for oil level in the reservoir. Check the drive belt for condition and tension. BY turning the wheel from lock to lock (recycling the wheel )you are in effect bleeding air out of the system

2001 Chrysler Town and Country has 149,000 miles. Had rear brakes put on and rotors turned, now going down road you might get a ****/hesitation and then when you put on brakes to stop it does a lot of...

Hard to say without a visual inspection. Have them rechecked by the shop that did the install. You may need new rotors. The rotors may have been cut beyond discard allowance,

My car cuts off at times right after it is cranked. At other times when stopped at a stop light but starts back up. Also, when driving it is hesitating and jerking.

It sounds like you have a bad MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor). This is in your air inlet tube, pull this out and check to see if there is any corrosion on it. If is one that has a coiled exposed wire, then ensure that the wire is not broke.
