Did you install an aftermarket radio? Did it have a wiring harness adapter kit for the installation? If so, the adapter should have made the install a plug-and-play operation. If not, and you sppliced wires into the vehicle's dashboard wiring harness, you could have cut into something you shouldn't have. More than likely, during the removal of the old radio and installation of the new one, you inadvertently disconnected a non-radio plug/jack on the dashboard wiring harness. If someone else did the work, take it back to them and ask them to make it right.
As in aftermarket like a Sony or Kenwood or..???? Yes.
The easiest way to install one is to get an installation kit. One that has a bracket/face that fills the hole in the dash and the new radio sits in and a wire harness. The harness makes things so simple. You don't need to know what wire color is what. The cars factory harness plugs right in and the new radio wires will be the same color on the harness.
